Total Futsal Manager · public · first seen
The v1.2.0 update is now available.
This version significantly expands the Total Futsal Manager universe with the arrival of the playable Men’s Second Division, improves the Editor, strengthens the connection between divisions and introduces a major optimisation pass across the game.
The Men’s Second Division is now fully integrated and playable from a new career.
It includes:
16 clubs.
Senior and youth squads.
Staff.
Club crests and competition branding.
Full league calendar.
Direct promotion.
Promotion playoffs.
Relegation.
First Division simulation in the background.
Shared transfer market between the First and Second Divisions.
Real movement of clubs between divisions.
The First and Second Divisions now form part of the same men’s football universe.
A club can be promoted or relegated and continue its journey within the same save, keeping its players, contracts, development, finances and sporting context.
You can also inspect clubs from the other division and follow how the wider pyramid evolves over time.
The men’s transfer market is now connected across both divisions.
First Division clubs can show interest in standout players from the Second Division, while Second Division clubs can sign players from the First Division when their financial and sporting situation allows it.
The AI now takes into account:
available transfer budget;
wage room;
positional needs;
player level;
age;
squad role;
market value;
contract situation;
competition level.
Young and genuinely outstanding Second Division players can attract interest from the First Division, but offers are never guaranteed.
The manager job market is also connected across both divisions.
Reputation, board confidence and performance against expectations now influence the level of interest from other clubs.
A manager performing well in the Second Division can enter the radar of First Division clubs, particularly projects that match their reputation and career progress.
Likewise, relegation or a poor season can change the type of opportunities that become available.
The Editor receives a major improvement for large custom databases.
Until now, player photos, crests and other visual resources were stored directly inside the custom database itself, which could cause errors when the storage limit was reached.
From v1.2.0:
player photos are stored as separate local files;
crests, kits, competition logos and trophies use the same system;
images no longer consume the limited database storage space;
identical assets are automatically deduplicated;
older custom databases are migrated automatically;
exported databases still include all images to remain portable;
imported databases automatically extract their visual resources again.
In a stress test with 1,000 custom player photos, the Editor data block was reduced from roughly 46 MB to just 152 KB, without reducing image quality.
Photo quality remains unchanged.
Several other areas of the Editor have also been strengthened:
ES/EN compatibility;
club, player and staff editing;
custom player photos;
crests;
kits;
competition logos;
trophies;
stronger data validation;
database import and export;
Excel and CSV export;
compatibility with existing custom databases;
protection of IDs and competition structure.
The original game database is never modified.
A major performance optimisation pass has been carried out across the game.
Several processes that could cause unnecessary pauses have been identified and improved, particularly when advancing matchdays, processing the transfer market and simulating matches in English.
The transfer market could repeatedly recalculate the full financial state of every club during certain matchdays.
The system has now been optimised to reuse information that has already been calculated and avoid thousands of unnecessary operations.
This significantly reduces pauses that could previously occur during some matchdays and transfer windows.
The English version was performing unnecessary checks and translations on text that was already translated.
The localisation system has been optimised to:
recognise text that is already in English;
reuse translations;
reduce protected-entity checks;
make more efficient use of caching.
Match simulation and match progression in English are now considerably faster.
The English localisation has also received a full revision.
The following areas have been corrected and improved:
remaining Spanish text;
dynamic headers;
transfer market;
manager career;
ordinal numbers;
tables;
contracts;
navigation;
Help documentation.
The Help section now includes dedicated English content rather than relying only on automatic translation of the Spanish text.
Titan remains on Titan 2.3.
This update does not change the balance of the match engine.
The following have not been changed:
result formulas;
goal calibration;
team strength;
fatigue;
injuries;
tactical AI;
competition rules.
The focus of this version is new content, stronger links between competitions, Editor improvements and performance.
This update also includes:
improved long-term career stability;
fixes to First/Second Division transitions;
promotion and relegation revisions;
contract and renewal revisions;
improvements to the manager job market;
improved cross-division scouting;
AI squad-depth protection improvements;
performance improvements in transfer market and squad-planning screens;
English interface refinements;
additional general stability fixes.
The v1.2.0 update is one of the biggest updates since launch.
Total Futsal Manager continues to grow with new competitions, greater depth and a stronger foundation for future expansions.
Thank you for all the feedback, suggestions and reports you continue to send.
The project keeps growing. ⚽
