BRANCHING BOOKS

Write a gamebook in Epoch. Each passage is its own piece of writing with its own
illustration, and you connect choices by picking a destination — never by typing
"turn to section 12" and hoping it still points somewhere.

- Choices link to passages, not to numbers. Rename, reorder or renumber all you
like; the links follow.
- A route map shows the shape of the book: where it splits, where paths rejoin,
where they end, and any passage no reader can reach.
- Checks for broken destinations, dead ends and loops. Deliberate loops are
allowed — tell it once and it stops asking.
- Read a path start to finish the way a reader would.
- Export a numbered PDF, art on one side and text on the other, with section
numbers assigned at export.

What it does NOT do: Epoch does not check continuity between your routes. If a
character dies on one path and lives on another, that is yours to catch. The app
says so where the work happens rather than letting you assume otherwise.

The PDF is for reading on screen and rough proofing. It is Letter-sized with no
trim or bleed set up, and we have not run it through a real printer yet.

COVERS WITHOUT AI

Build a cover from scratch — your own images, type and layout, no generation
required. AI is there if you want it and out of the way if you don't.

PICTURES

Repair and layer actions now sit where you look for them, in the inspector beside
the canvas instead of split across the top strip. Picture tools and model docking
actually respond.

AUDIO

Book export reported the WAV's numbers on the MP3. Fixed — the figures now
describe the file you actually get.

SCENES

More work on Cast Room and the scene cockpit, including asking which object you
mean when a character refers to something ambiguous.
