This update reshapes the world within the walls, character progression, and settlement building. Prepare your equipment in the main menu, gather your party, and decide when your defenses are ready for the next siege.
Landscapes and biomes have received a major visual overhaul. Reworked vegetation, lighting, riverbanks, and atmospheric effects give the Grassland, Darkforest, and Death biome a stronger identity.
The Forest Spirit now awaits you in the Darkforest.
Leveling up now strengthens your chosen character's abilities instead of increasing general stats. Choose upgrades and develop your abilities step by step.
Stat improvements are now earned by completing quests. Repeatable objectives improve damage, health, stamina, and other character stats. Quests no longer have a time limit.
Your settlement now uses a fixed building grid, replacing unrestricted building placement with more structured planning. Occupied spaces and required entrances are easier to identify, while a new building overview helps you plan your settlement.
You decide when the next siege wave begins. Call it directly through the Greathall menu and use the time between waves to expand your settlement and prepare your defenses.
A completed altar alone is no longer enough to summon the final boss. You must now also successfully defend against at least ten siege waves before beginning the final confrontation.
You can now forge Owned Items directly in the main menu. There is no need to enter a run first—prepare your equipment before your next adventure.
Invite other players directly into your lobby through the Create a New Game window. Assemble your party, choose your characters and equipment, and start the run together.
