The Navigation & Survival Update

On Steam

The Navigation & Survival Update is now live!
This update gives you more room to outmaneuver threats, better tools to find your way, and a clearer introduction to the facility.

More room to move, better-paced runs

  • Expanded rooms and corridors give you more space to maneuver and react during encounters.
  • Campaign floors now require fewer nodes and allow more time. Required objectives are selected to reduce long trips across the facility.
  • Adjusted Endless stability timing for the larger environment.

A proper navigation system

  • S-NAV now keeps a rendered map of discovered areas in the upper-right corner, separate from the wrist motion tracker.
  • Hold Tab to check the tracker, tap to toggle it, or double-tap to expand the map.
  • Right-click a discovered corridor to set a destination. Shift + right-click adds route stops.
  • Expanded-map planning pauses single-player gameplay. Co-op remains live.
  • Explored areas stay mapped when you die and retry the same floor within a run.

A clearer suit and a darker facility

  • Updated the operative model and animations. Threat detection and shield drain now use visual indicators on the suit instead of pulling your arms across the screen.
  • Reduced washed-out lighting, deepened shadows, and improved material detail.
  • Made the suit telemetry log smaller so it leaves more of the scene visible.
  • Corrected wall-mounted terminal placement and improved death-camera framing near walls.

Better training, simpler mode selection

  • Tutorial destinations now have bright S-NAV markers and compass guidance, including the support terminal, node, training Anomaly, and open ladder.
  • Open exits have brighter lighting and clear navigation beacons. The tutorial ladder opens as soon as the required threat contact registers.
  • The training Anomaly is easier to shake after breaking line of sight. Main-game pursuit behavior is unchanged.
  • Fixed tutorial progression when plotting routes and reading the expanded map.
  • Monster Mode has graduated from beta to a regular mode. Campaign, Endless, and Monster Mode lead the Play menu; Cipher Runs and Gauntlets are grouped under Challenges.
  • Updated the field manual, lore guide, control prompts, and mode descriptions to match the current game.

For co-op, make sure everyone has updated to the latest version.
Thank you to everyone who tested these changes and shared feedback. Let us know how the larger spaces, new navigation tools, and revised floor pacing feel in your next run.
