Woodcutting keeps growing! The Tree Garden is now open at the Sawmill, giving lumberjacks a brand-new collection to complete. Plant and grow all 20 tree species found throughout Aetera, fill out your garden, and unlock special rewards for your efforts!
Every tree has to start somewhere! Tree Seeds now have a chance to drop while Woodcutting. Collect a seed for each species and bring it back to the Sawmill to grow your garden!
"To House a Northernbird": A young carpenter needs your help building birdhouses for the local fauna! Talk to Oliver in the Northern Tundra after reaching level 70 Combat and level 40 Woodcutting to begin this new quest.
"Beauty and the Frog": Help a mysterious green-skinned man undo an unfortunate magic spell! Talk to Carlos at Old Guswacha's House after reaching level 26 Combat, level 10 Woodcutting, and level 10 Fishing to begin this quest.
We've made some major improvements to how movement and attacking work together! Combat animations don’t lock you in place nearly as much now, allowing you to reposition and continue fighting much more seamlessly.
To complement these changes, attack speeds for Sorcerers, Guardians, and several Warrior weapons have been increased, and damage values have been adjusted slightly to maintain the same overall DPS.
The result is the same combat balance with a fundamentally better feel! Attacks come out faster, movement feels more responsive, and combat across every class should feel much smoother and more satisfying.
A completely new Click/Tap-to-Move control scheme can now be enabled from the Settings menu!
Simply tap or click where you want to go and your character will move there! You can also tap or click on an enemy to start attacking, allowing you to play Eterspire comfortably using only one hand!
Whether you're grinding, skilling or exploring, these controls offer a much more relaxed way to play while also making Eterspire more accessible to a wider variety of control preferences and playstyles.
You asked, and we delivered! A new Extended Camera Zoom option is now available in the Settings menu, allowing you to zoom much farther out and fit a whole lot more on your screen!
This is the first experimental iteration of this feature, so you may encounter some visual oddities in certain maps, and using it may reduce performance on some devices.
Finished the main story and not sure where to go next? Eterspire will now automatically suggest another quest from your Quest List based on your current level!
This should make continuing your journey after the main story much more straightforward, helping you discover quests you may have missed without constantly needing to scroll through the Quest List.
We've officially upgraded Eterspire to Unity 6! This is a massive technical milestone for the game, improving performance across the board while giving our team access to a huge variety of new tools that will help us develop Eterspire better, faster, and more efficiently going forward.
Eterspire should now run better across all devices. That said, moving to a new engine version is a massive change, and the game may run differently on some devices. We'll closely monitor performance after release and continue to optimize the game over the next several updates.
We're also continuing our work on connectivity! Following the major improvements introduced in v81, we've implemented another round of fixes to reduce unintended disconnections even further. We also have better connectivity metrics to address any other connectivity issues going forward!
Eterspire's translations have been greatly improved across the board! Every supported language should now read much more naturally and consistently.
There's still more work to do! Some areas, such as Progress Guides, have yet to be fully localized, and we'll continue improving and expanding Eterspire's translations in future releases.
A Disable Enemy Auto-Targeting option is now available in the Settings menu! This allows players to choose the targeting mode that best fits their class, control scheme, and playstyle.
A new Recruitment chat tab has been added! Whether you're searching for a Trial party, a grinding group, or some fellow lifeskillers, finding adventurers to play with should now be much easier.
By popular demand, we've reverted the appearance of the Fishing Cloak to its previous look!
Reaching level 100 Fishing or Woodcutting will now play a special fanfare. (gz gz gz!)
The game will now remember the last chat tab you had selected.
The game will also remember your last selected window mode.
Adding or removing huge quantities of items in bulk has been significantly optimized. These operations should now complete much faster while having a much smaller impact on performance.
We've updated Eterspire's startup splash screen!

Coming in Eterspire v83!
October is almost here, which means Halloween is returning to Aetera! Our next update will bring plenty of spooks, frights, and scares with a brand-new seasonal event.
Now that our transition to Unity 6 is complete, we're also turning our attention toward even bigger performance improvements over the next several updates. We know Eterspire can still run much better and more efficiently across all devices, and we're working very hard to get it there!
There are even more combat improvements on the way! In v83, you can expect exciting changes to enemy behavior and hunt distribution, designed to make grinding feel much more varied, dynamic, and engaging.
There’s more coming after that, too! You can check out the other features, updates, and content we’ll be working on throughout the rest of the year in our Q3 & Q4 Roadmap.
Community
Something is coming... Something very soft.
Our community event, Leefa's Lumberpalooza has ended, and the rewards have been given out! Adventurers were tasked with proving their chopping chops (heh) by gathering planks for Leefa to finish the Sawmill Tree Garden, and it's now ready for everyone to enjoy thanks to your efforts! The event was ran entirely on our official Discord server, which you can join anytime!
A new community contest with begin later this week, with rewards for everyone who takes part!
