We’ve locked the final planned Windows 1.0 revision ahead of Idle Necronomics’ October 27 release.
Performance
- Improved performance during busy late-game combat, especially when large numbers of damage indicators are appearing.
- Reduced frame stalls by reusing the capped damage-number presentation and reducing combat-time allocations.
- Optimized wound setup and background Soul Crystal status and save work.
- Preserved the current look and feel, including combat timing, damage-number behavior, visual effects, rewards, and pacing.
Interface and quality of life
- Simplified the offline earnings screen and abbreviated large Soul totals.
- Abbreviated Army DPS on the Campaign screen.
- Improved the Soul Exchange layout. Position slots sit lower in the frame, occupied positions show compact value and signed return information, and the Trade Ledger uses clearer profit and loss coloring.
- Improved Soul Exchange title spacing and kept the Settings frame contained at common resolutions.
- Modal screens now keep controller and keyboard focus in the foreground instead of selecting gameplay elements behind them.
- Ten-floor navigation buttons can now be held to repeat.
- Manual floor travel no longer leaves the large floor announcement covering the selector.
- Moved the Necromancer Falls notice above the lower HUD so it no longer covers the enemy.
Achievements
- The Full game now exposes all 20 Steam achievements, with new achieved and unachieved artwork for the 14 additions.
- The Demo remains intentionally limited to its original six Steam achievements.
Reliability and compatibility
- Improved normal window-close and in-game quit cleanup so progress settles cleanly before shutdown.
- Corrected a legacy-save compatibility issue affecting Soul Crystal market caps.
- Outside that compatibility correction, core progression, prices, and pacing are unchanged.
This post covers the Full Windows candidate. The public Demo will receive its final performance and interface revision separately.
Thank you to everyone who shared late-game, Steam Deck, controller, and layout feedback. Final release acceptance continues ahead of October 27.
