The Gemma 4 update is now live for My Summer Love: Memories.
Below is a detailed overview of the most significant improvements compared to the previous version (Gemma 3):
- Enhanced Prompt Adherence:
- In Story Mode, script delivery is now significantly more natural and seamless.
- Role consistency has been improved, making it much harder for characters to break character (e.g., when asked about future events or upcoming characters).
- If you specify in the personality file that you do not want censorship, it is successfully removed (at least for adult-themed content, which is what it was tested on).
- Conversation formatting has been stabilized, ensuring the parser accurately identifies dialogue, thoughts, and emotions without execution errors.
- Fix for Save-State Degradation:
- Previously, reloading a saved session resulted in a noticeable decline in conversation quality, leading to repetitive dialogues and diminished reasoning capabilities. This update ensures that restored sessions consistently maintain original quality.
- Resolution of User Role Assumption:
- The issue where the model would mistakenly assume the player's role during interaction was removed.
In-Progress Development (Known minor Issues):
- Thinking Mode Leakage: Because the new model relies heavily on an internal thinking process, reasoning logic can occasionally leak into the visible thought output (e.g., “The player said OK, so I will trigger option A”). I will remove this behavior.
- Memories Optimization: Gemma 4 executes Sliding Window internally; external programming is not currently supported, so requiring periodic memory restructuring during loading screens. I have implemented a conservative parameter that limits the volume of retained memories. The next update I will introduce a option menu to increase memory allocation for users with higher-spec hardware.
