Hello captains,
The last little update before we go live and close out this beta test. Thanks to all of you for your continued efforts to improve Vanguard Galaxy. :)
This update is still under active development. As such, it is only available if you switch to the beta branch of Vanguard Galaxy to test out these new changes. Instruction on how to install the beta updates can be found at the bottom of this post.
Added/Changes
- Added a progress bar and info to the loading screen
- Changed 2 of the pocket bosses to fly Battlecruisers in stead of Destroyers + Added new pocket boss which you can obtain through killing other pocket bosses
- Changed the visuals of the inventory filter buttons slightly
- Further tweaks to asteroid visual generation
Fixes
- Another potential memory leak fix, especially for POIs where the player is present for a longer period of time and where ships get battle damage
- Fix for error on loading of some savegames
- Fixed ships in hangar bay not being able to target containers
- Fixed wrong amount of hull upgrade kits being shown in comparison to actual salvaged amount
- Fixed unloading to carrier sometimes going over the capacity
- Fixed issue with loot after installation collapse, it was showing more then was actually recovered, plus some loot was discarded if it didnt fit in the cargo inventory
- Fixed warning icon not always showing for events that can be triggered during installation run
- Improved Jumpgate travel to reduce potential blocking by NPC's
- Fixed pilots still being selected for installations when ECHO is doing her thing

Make sure to keep an old save game when switching to the beta, just in case. We always make sure that your save games will keep working, but as long as the beta is ahead of the release, the beta save game won't work on the release version until it catches up.
To take part go to Manage and select Properties for Vanguard Galaxy in Steam:
And select the open-beta under Game Versions & Betas as shown below.
