Major Update — 3D Floorplan, Workshop, Furniture dimensions

The biggest addition: you can now furnish directly in the 2D plan. Turn on 3D-Floorplan and the furniture
library opens right below it. Pick a piece, set its exact length, depth and height before you place it, turn it
with Space, and click to drop it. Existing furniture can be selected, dragged, rotated with the handle, duplicated with Alt + Drag Mouse.

Walls take material per room

Paint a wall inside a closed room and only that room's side changes. The part of the wall running on into the next room keeps its own material, and facades stay one piece.

Doors

  • A door that meets a cross wall now stops where the room ends instead of swinging through it.

  • Sliding doors added.

  • Sidelights work on interior doors too.

  • The exterior door can be painted.

Furniture shows its real size

Length, depth, and height in metres or feet, and you can type the number instead of guessing with the gizmo. A bed is exactly 200 cm when you say so.

Workshop

Creations you download can be taken over with Make it mine. They land under their own Workshop Saves tab, where you can rebuild them freely, and only re-uploading stays locked, so nobody's work gets published under someone else's name. Your own imported 3D models are left out of uploads.

Fixes

  • No more falling through the ground in first person in any environment, with or without a basement.

  • Imperial measurements snap to real inch steps.

  • Materials have names.

  • Imported GLB/OBJ objects can be selected and stay where you put them after loading.

  • Windowed mode no longer crashes when a level changes.

  • The mouse pointer is drawn by Windows now (as fast as your desktop cursor).

  • Esc reliably leaves every tool.
