Hi everyone, 😄
Thank you very much for all the feedback, reports, and suggestions you have continued to share with us.
This update focuses on performance and stability improvements, especially for cases where many Boxes or items are stacked in the same area. Several reports helped us identify situations where very dense piles could make the game much heavier, especially in saves with large Box stacks or item piles.
We want to say thank you to the players who helped by sending reports and save files. Those reports are very helpful for checking real factory conditions and improving the game based on actual player setups.
This is part of our continuing optimization work. Some improvements are included in this update, and we will continue monitoring performance conditions in future updates. If we find other areas that need optimization, we will continue working on them.
With that in mind, here is what is included in this update.
We have improved how the game handles very dense Box and item stacks.
Previously, large piles could continue triggering repeated calculations even when the stack was already mostly still. This could make the game feel much heavier in areas where many Boxes or items were piled together.
The system has now been adjusted so dense stacks that are already stable can be handled more efficiently, reducing unnecessary calculations during gameplay.
Taking a Box from a large stack should also be lighter than before. Instead of recalculating too much of the surrounding pile, the game now focuses more on the part of the stack that actually changes.
Item piles have also received similar improvements, especially for cases where many items are gathered very closely in one area.
These changes should help reduce performance issues in heavy save conditions, especially around dense Box or item piles.
However, very extreme pile situations may still feel heavy if the player stands directly on top of the pile or intentionally disturbs it. We will continue monitoring these cases and continue optimizing where needed.
The on-screen keyboard has been improved.
A new Cancel button has been added, allowing players to close the keyboard without saving the current input.
The keyboard can also now be closed using:
Esc
B button on gamepad
Using Cancel, Esc, or the B button will discard the current changes and restore the previous text.
This should make text input easier to manage when renaming or searching, especially when players want to cancel an edit without applying it.
Fixed an issue where full Box stacks could cause extra Boxes to scatter onto the floor.
This could happen in supported stacking areas such as:
Supply Area
Box Packer Machine output
When the organized stack is already full, extra Boxes should now be placed more neatly instead of spreading around the floor.
This should help prevent messy Box piles from forming during normal gameplay, especially when production is faster than employee pickup.
We will continue monitoring this behavior in future updates to make sure Box stacking remains stable in larger factories.
Fixed an issue where machine previews in Build Mode could push or knock nearby Boxes while the player was positioning a machine.
Machine previews should no longer physically disturb Boxes during placement.
Placement detection should continue working as usual, while the preview itself should no longer move Boxes around.
Fixed a Main Menu stability issue that could occur when entering the menu before certain parts of the menu had finished loading.
This should help reduce unnecessary errors and make the Main Menu behave more reliably.
Thank you again for your continued support, reports, and feedback.
Optimization is an ongoing part of development, especially as factories become larger and player layouts become more complex. We will continue reviewing performance conditions, especially in saves with many Boxes, items, machines, and active systems.
If you encounter performance issues or unexpected behavior, please report them through the in-game Bug Report Menu and/or the Steam Discussions so we can investigate further.
See you in the next update! 🥗🚚
