1.2 Difficulty Balance, 3 New Fusion Units, Leading Projectiles

Scrap Battalion · build 24683368 · published

On SteamNotes only · this build shipped before we watched the app

Second patch since release. Let's get to it.

Balance

For standard mode only:

Difficulty 1 has had the average combat power halved. This mostly came from reducing the levels of enemies while keeping the composition mostly untouched.

Difficulties 2-5 have had similar changes to the above but only to the core groups. The optional challenges have not had much adjustment.

Difficulty 6 has not been touched.

These changes should help allow players more breathing room to make scaling builds that can pop off instead of getting snubbed out early.

New Fusion Units

Forsaken Champion

This unit is an early fusion which can snowball into a monster late game with it's unique perk which will consume the unit next to it at the start of the turn. This unit not only gains the regular perks of a unit but also their class perks!

The Legion Line

The legionnaire fusion has been a favorite of the community. This fusion while strong early could have trouble scaling to late game. Two more legion fusions now exist to give players a strong legion end game.

Legion

Legion has been slightly change. Now spawns a unit every 2 seconds but only takes 10% longer compounding to summon new units instead of 25%. This should allow for legion to grow an army more regularly instead of making a clump that gets wiped out and can never reform.

Mega Legion

Mega legion operates like legion but spawns legionnaires in squads of 3.

Legion Prime

Combing 5 mega legions creates the Legion Prime. Its weapon is an area wide nuke dealing thousands of damage. Units defeated by Legion Prime become legionaries. This unit is designed to give legion builds an end game capstone.

New Mechanic: Leading Shots

Units with over 100 accuracy will now lead non hitscan projectiles so that they aim at where they predict the opponent will be instead of where they are. This makes many characters like the bowman much stronger with investment and reduces the need to make magnet mandatory
