Performance & Rendering

  • Significantly optimized dense vegetation and shadow rendering.

  • Reduced FPS drops in forest environments, especially during sunny weather.

  • Lowered the performance cost of foliage animation and shadow updates.

  • Improved distant tree rendering and smoother transitions between full-detail vegetation and billboards.

  • Fixed excessive brightness on distant foliage.

  • Optimized texture resolutions, reducing the game's installation size by approximately 4 GB.

  • Improved overall frame-rate stability while keeping Lumen enabled.

Gameplay

  • Added a backpack death marker to True Survival mode, making it much easier to recover your dropped loot.

  • Added collision to moss patches, preventing dropped weapons and other items from falling through the ground.

  • Fixed an issue where players could respawn at random locations after dying. In multiplayer, your character will now consistently respawn at the location where you last left the game.

  • Moved the Shotgun so it is now received from Max before starting the Path of Salvation quest.

  • Added a 1-second delay before quest items respawn in multiplayer, allowing every player enough time to collect them instead of only the host.

Multiplayer

  • Reworked several story systems to improve co-op progression.

  • Story cinematics now play correctly during cooperative play.

  • Each player can now complete the game independently while playing in co-op.

  • Fixed multiple issues affecting Story Mode and Cooperative Mode.

  • Player locations are now correctly saved in multiplayer.

Quests & Story

  • Fixed the Crocodile, Home, and Hope achievements.

  • Fixed story completion percentage after finishing the game.

  • Fixed the first story mission not starting correctly after switching to Free Play.

  • Fixed a soft lock and possible story progression loss when switching between game modes.

  • After completing the game, the correct story completion percentage is now displayed instead of 0%.

  • Fixed issues with the Looking for the Reaper quest.

Weapons

  • Increased the texture resolution of several weapons.

  • Rotated the Holo Scope to the correct orientation.

  • Fully replicated flashlight behavior in multiplayer.

  • The flashlight now correctly remembers whether it was turned on or off.

  • Fixed an issue where other players could unintentionally toggle your weapon flashlight in multiplayer.

  • Fixed several weapon recycling issues. Weapons with attachments can no longer be recycled accidentally.

  • Improved the weapon ammo unloading system.

Audio

  • Added new screams and voice variations.

Controls

  • The Y key can now be customized in the Key Bindings menu.

Animations

  • Improved melee attack animations.
