We are very pleased that we could add new pixel art this year as well.
However, more than that, most people are probably wondering:

"What about SRPG Studio EX?"

Honestly, development of EX has "stagnated"--in a good way.
With EX, the rendering system is being redone, so it will be possible to display pixel shaders (like weather effects) on maps.
This is a useful feature that can be applied with a one-time setup.

However, we are in the process of conducting a more in-depth technical validation regarding the following subject.

"Making motions flashier/more stylish when entering real battles without any setup."

Put simply, even though you didn't change anything in Lord (M).png and you didn't change the way Lord (M) moves via the animation dialog, the motion will appear quite fancy in real battles.

We highly value compatibility between SRPG Studio and SRPG Studio EX.
So, naturally, motion settings will carry over.
But since motion settings are the same, does that mean battle effects won't change at all in EX?
No, that's something we don't want to compromise.
We believe it's possible to preserve compatibility in the process of evolution, and real battles is one such example.

We look forward to your continued support of SRPG Studio and SRPG Studio EX!
