Hello.

Hotfix 1.1.2+3 for Three Kingdoms Classic is now available.

This hotfix resolves an issue that could cause the game to become stuck at around 92% on “Preparing to Start” when Steam Cloud was enabled. Replay maintenance no longer delays game startup or the replay list, and replay files have been removed from Steam Cloud synchronization.

We have also reduced save times in large campaigns, adjusted target selection for policies that can affect multiple cities, and strengthened the morale reward granted to defenders when a Sortie counters the attacker’s siege-engine construction.

The main changes are as follows.

Startup and Replay Responsiveness

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to become stuck at around 92% on “Preparing to Start” in environments using Steam Cloud.

  • Improved startup and replay-list responsiveness so the game no longer waits for replay maintenance to finish.

  • Replay files have been excluded from Steam Cloud synchronization to improve startup and cloud-sync stability. Replays are now stored only on the device where they were created.

Save Performance

  • Removed an unnecessary second integrity scan of data that had already been validated immediately before saving.

  • Reduced save times in large campaigns with long histories and substantial amounts of data.

  • Full validation is still performed when loading save files from disk and when checking older data formats.

City Policy Target Selection

  • Policies that can target multiple cities, such as Relief, no longer select the current city automatically.

  • Players must now explicitly choose the target city before executing the policy.

Siege Counters and Morale Adjustments

  • Increased the defender’s fixed morale reward from +0.90 to +2.00 when a Sortie counters the attacker’s siege-engine construction.

  • The attacker’s -1.20 morale penalty, cancellation of siege-engine construction, and troop-loss rules remain unchanged.

  • This adjustment strengthens the defenders’ ability to continue fighting after correctly countering siege-engine construction, including after the city gate has been breached.

This hotfix uses the same save and replay formats as version 1.1.2+2. Existing save files can be loaded and saved again without conversion or a separate backup.

We will continue to identify and address issues affecting game progression and responsiveness.

Thank you.
