ImmaterialAI · build 24245016 · published
A third of you are already on the test 6.0 track in less than a week... THANK YOU, maybe we'll get over how insane that is at some point. Also over 20x more installs compared to the previous period. Anyway, 6.0.4 is live on the test track for free and Plus users, thank you and enjoy!
If you haven't already, you can join the test track from Steam if you right click on ImmaterialAI in the library and go to Properties -> Game Versions & Betas -> select test.
(picture: in-app editable canvas in 6.0.4, where you can change styling, sizing, highlight heuristics and positions, layouts for nodes all you want + can quickly link nodes, add and remove nodes, and change the layout of related nodes not already present in the canvas, with each canvas remembering where you positioned your nodes and your camera; Canvas is available only to Lite and Plus users)
Lite users will get the update most likely tomorrow, we found some issues there and we had to rollback the update. Don't forget to report any bugs here or in DMs, I'm sure we won't catch all of them ourselves.
New 'Personal development features' toggle in Settings > General. Turn it off to run ImmaterialAI as a pure knowledge tool: the AI chats, the Me board, Return to Bliss, Bundles, the Sanity check and the old/new-me filters and actions all disappear in both home layouts - so nothing distracts from your nodes and links.
Turn it on to restore all.
With it off, Return-to-Bliss insight nodes are no longer auto-unlocked.
First-run onboarding now asks whether you want the guided Paths experience or a Data-only setup before you choose a path (localized across all 11 languages).
You now add nodes, links, node and link types, worlds and tags from one Add box on the home page
Similarly, all AI chats are now in one Chat box (hidden entirely in Data-only mode).
The library's big-picture graphs and node trees now match Canvas/Nucleus: hover an edge, click through multiple relations, and see parallel edges fan apart.
Drag a link between nodes (press-drag one onto another; prompts for the type); double-tap opens a node so a single click never navigates.
Drag-to-connect polish: source node + guide line focus first, the hovered target highlights, an animated dot pulses to it, and a SnackBar confirms each link.
Links are abit more clickable in trees (bent edges got a wider hit tolerance); rewrite should come of the whole tree algorithm somewhere in version 6
Link hover reworked: a prominent outline of the link and its two nodes; edges thicker/brighter and adapt to the skin's text color.
Fit/zoom corner controls on every graph and tree; graphs centre in the viewport on open and on change; no more zoom-out jump. Our own Sugiyama tree layout fans edges too.
Node search, change-node-type and unravel node-search dialogs get an empty-state message ('No matches for ...') and close on Esc.
New: Alt+A opens the Add switcher, Alt+Q opens a Quantum recommendation, Alt+B opens Bundles.
The home Focus / Favorites / Old-New-me filters (Ctrl+Shift+1/2/3) can now be rebound from the shortcuts settings.
Reusable skin-aware dialog + field helpers, so every simple dialog reads correctly on any skin - no dark hint text on a dark background; washed-out hint text fixed.
Settings: landscape master-detail layout - sections down the side, click one to see its settings.
Import now surfaces success / failure feedback instead of failing silently.
Full 11-language localization sweep: world picker, search / type-picker empty states, shortcuts settings, import/export, delete-node confirmation, and Canvas / Nucleus strings.
Duplicate-name guards (case-insensitive, with a SnackBar) for worlds, node types and link types.
Shortcuts settings can be filtered by name, key combo or scope, with a clear button and empty state.
INSANE mode turns fully off again (blur/animations restored); preferences no longer pile up duplicate rows; node background images persist; 'Untitled' shown for blank names on the boards.
Add to Canvas from anywhere - a Ctrl+K palette and node-details action drops a node onto a board you pick (offset placement, duplicate guard, confirmation SnackBar).
Node action parity with the Library: open details, favorite, focus, pin, to-do; cards show favorite / pinned / to-do badges.
Revealing connected nodes honours the active world and your Library filters, like Nucleus.
Quick-link rework: right-click a node to search a link type then pick direction; preselects the sole matching type (Enter creates), Esc closes.
Drag a link between nodes with animated drag-to-connect and a drop-target highlight; clicking a node selects it (8px deadzone stops a click from moving it).
Ctrl+D duplicates the selected node; a help (?) panel lists every board gesture and shortcut.
Node images render as a card background; transparent board + launcher backgrounds; links thicker, darkened and saturated against light skins.
Launcher: canvases sorted alphabetically, item count in the header, delete SnackBar, and an error + retry state with a 5-second Undo to restore a deleted node.
Transparent top/bottom bars and a full-height board, so content shows through and isn't clipped under the action bar.
Thicker edges; hovering a link between two nodes lists every relation between them; the drag-to-connect guide is a flowing pulse stream starting at the bottom of the source node.
Discoverable resize (- / +) and delete buttons on the selected node; resizing scales its text.
Highlight rework: highlighted nodes clearly more prominent, the rest solid but desaturated.
Image backgrounds cover-fill the whole box instead of leaving empty edges.
Board shortcuts: Esc clears a connection/selection, Enter opens the selected node, Ctrl+S saves, Ctrl+= / - / 0 zoom and fit.
Toolbar floats at the bottom so the graph fills top-to-bottom.
Opens centred (first fit instant and centred); double-tap the empty board to fit-to-content.
Link handling: hovering between two nodes lists all relations between A and B; reworked link dialog (clickable A/B with type + subtitle, read-only relations, ancestry ordering, flip toggle).
Drag a link between nodes with focus-source + pulse-to-target animation and a drop-target highlight.
Filters: a clear (x) button, a Reset chip that clears all filters, and type-filter chips that show the active count (e.g.'Node types - 2').
World selection dialog: autofocus + clearable filter, an empty-state message, keyboard support (Enter confirms, Esc closes, arrows move), and hover/press feedback on SELECT / EXCLUDE.
Layout fixes: the Confirm button always stays on-screen; SELECT / EXCLUDE keep labels on one line.
World exclusion re-enabled correctly - excluding a world no longer drops nodes from your other worlds.
Dragging a pin no longer flashes a white square behind the rounded item.
The pinned bar no longer overlaps focused box content.
If any of the Plus or Lite features sound interesting, we STILL have a 60% deal running for both.
See you soon, thanks for coming, Happy Birthday to you and your loved ones perpetually every year, and truly thanks for staying with us through all these years.
