An update is now live for Estranged: Act I which allows HBAO and Depth of Field to work on AMD DirectX 9-capable GPUs!

AMD Fixes

Originally these options did not work for non-Nvidia cards when we tested them, and we turned them off using feature heuristics for AMD.

Now Estranged: Act I fully supports AMD cards, though Intel GPUs still aren't supported because Source Engine still locks them out via its master GPU list in dxsupport.cfg. I did look at changing that too, but it would have been much more difficult to validate so didn't include it in this update.

Arctic Cold Demo

If you're looking for the latest in the Estranged series, I released a demo for Arctic Cold in February this year. It does include some environments which will be familiar to players of Act I :)
