major update

The biggest protection release since v4 rebuilds how OLED Guard draws protection on your screen. Two headline changes: Game IQ learns the HUDs in your games, and a new continuous protection engine makes dimming smoother, faster, and cleaner.

Game IQ learns your game HUDs

Health bars, minimaps, ammo counts and scoreboards are the brightest, most static things on your screen, and they are exactly what burns in. In fullscreen Gaming sessions, Game IQ learns where each game keeps its HUD, locally on your PC, and brings protection back to those regions faster the next time they appear. You are covered again the moment the HUD returns after a goal, a menu, or a respawn.

  • Learns per game, on-device. Nothing about what you play ever leaves your machine.

  • Only in fullscreen Gaming. Your desktop, media and menus never pick up a game-HUD floor by mistake.

  • A one-way safety floor. Game IQ can only add protection on top of what the base engine already decided. It never lowers it.

A new continuous protection engine

Protection is now drawn from one continuous field instead of a stack of separate overlays. What you get:

  • Smoother, more even dimming across the whole screen.

  • Faster desktop response, so bright static content is covered sooner.

  • Cleaner release when the scene moves. Scrolling, scene cuts and fullscreen exits leave fewer trails.

  • Less ghosting on bright backgrounds and bright text.

  • Dark Mode: as many of you asked, we've added a simple uniform dim preset similar to away mode which you can also change its intensity and other overlay properties in the overlay page;

Everything else in v5

  • Gaming-only gates that cut false positives

  • A new Resource use card that reports the engine's footprint honestly

  • A simpler, better-tested engine with expanded GPU and regression coverage

Still the OLED Guard you rely on

GPU-accelerated and content-aware, it keeps working inside borderless fullscreen games with typically under 1% GPU overhead, protects every OLED on your PC, and never sends your screen contents anywhere.
