Hive Blight · build 24088328 · published
As night falls upon the forest, the hive shivers. Horrible stories have reached the capital, keeping the young awake with tales of terrible creatures and incomprehensible abominations. Tomorrow, the valiant warriors of the kingdom will face the blight once more. No one knows what they will come across, or whether they will be able to prevail...
Hello everyone!
As you might have guessed, this new update comes with a much darker tone. The Fungomancer has brought forth his strongest lieutenants! Three new bosses and their minions are entering the rotation, hopefully adding plenty of variation to your runs.
Without further ado, let me introduce you to these terrible foes!
Giving Grandmolder some well-deserved rest, the blind behemoth Judas stumbles onto the battlefield. Guided by his minions, the Doom Horns, he will force you to prioritise your targets if you want to overcome him!
Allowing the Herald to take a breather from his studies, the dynamic duo of Brambleback and Cortex takes the fight to the hive! Accompanied by their followers, the Scaly Wardens and the Mindflyers, what will you choose to fight first: an impenetrable obstacle and a rain of projectiles, or pesky mages and a wall of thorns?
Finally, relieving the Puppeteer from his role as the last line of defence, the roots of the Tainted Tyrant rise to block your way! With its mind-controlled minions, the Sappenergies, the Alluring Dryads, the Venomonites, and the Irritodermas, it spreads a hellish disease throughout the grove. Unfortunately, you will have to endure the symptoms of its corruption if you wish to defeat it!
Alongside these three new bosses, we have worked on many other things, most notably quality-of-life additions for the map, as well as the usual bug fixes and balance changes.
I hope you will love these new additions to the game. You can read the full patch notes below.
Enjoy!
