What’s cooking!
We’re excited to serve up the first major Dosa Divas update. We’ve prepared changes to improve the cooking experience, explore villager musings while satisfying their cravings, and add more variety to exploring the Meyndish Isle.
The meat and potatoes of this update are the changes we’ve made to feeding the residents of the Meyndish Isle. There are now more recurring villagers with new dialogue and unique speech bubbles, as well as personal order notes. Fulfilling orders now grants 60% more town affinity points, making it easier to increase your town rank and earn rewards.
We’ve spiced up the cooking process to reduce friction. Ingredient auto-fill has been disabled for villager orders to give you more control over the ingredients you want to use. To make ingredient selection even more frictionless, the ingredients are sorted by flavor profile in the selection menu. The cooking minigames have been updated with new UI elements and updated camera angles for variety.
To add more variety to ingredient selection, alternate ingredient pickup methods have been added to some ingredients in Canopea and Port Zest. Buroth won’t go hungry, though, as scrap caches can now be found around the village.
Port Zest has undergone changes to improve pacing during the second visit. The “Impress Mom’s assistant” objective now grants some of the necessary ingredients to complete the requests from Mom’s assistant. While the “Impress Mom’s assistant” objective is in progress, Kabi can be found at the base of the tower to reduce backtracking.
As a last little snack, we’ve got some minor improvements:
Updated upgrade graph icons with character portraits.
Port Zest tower traversal changes.
Canopea community area staging improvements.
and bug fixes:
Fixed a softlock caused by falling through the map screen without being properly grounded.
Fixed a softlock caused by getting caught behind a fence in Port Zest.
