2.1 Patch Notes
Developer’s Note :
Because the game’s rules were changed to limit the number of attempts available—especially since players only get one shot at the World Championship—winning a large-scale competition, particularly a 25-player match, often came down to luck even when the player’s survivor had far better stats than the AI opponents. After all, firearms dealt the same amount of damage regardless of the survivor’s stats.
For this update, we have adjusted the game balance so that survivor stats have a greater impact on the outcome of matches.
However, requiring players to win the World Championship within such a limited number of attempts is still too demanding. In the next update, we plan to ease the objectives and change the rules so that players are given more opportunities.
New Features
- Strategy Auto-Save:
Your most recently used strategy is now saved automatically, so you no longer need to rebuild it whenever you start a new challenge. A future update will allow you to save multiple strategy presets. - Weight:
Some weapons are now heavy enough to require a minimum amount of Strength to use. Even after meeting the minimum Strength requirement, Strength will continue to affect melee weapon attack speed and ranged weapon reload speed—especially when using the Bazooka. Armor weight also affects movement speed.
Updates
Developer’s Note:
For ranged weapons, the maximum range is twice the effective range. Damage begins to decrease beyond the effective range and is reduced to half when a target is hit at maximum range.
However, the Assault Rifle’s effective range was nearly identical to a survivor’s vision range, allowing it to deal maximum damage even during long-range engagements. Under the new balance rules, its damage has been reduced so that survivor stats have a greater impact on gameplay, even at the cost of some realism.
- Assault Rifle Maximum Damage at Fine or Not Crafted Quality: 110 → 60
Masterpiece: 150 → 80
Excellent: 130 → 70
Common: 90 → 50
Poor: 70 → 40 - Survivors now gain additional stats after participating in a league match. Winning grants a larger increase.
- Damaged prosthetics are now automatically repaired or replaced after a Battle Royale. If a prosthetic is completely destroyed, even an Augmented or Transcendent Prosthetic will be replaced with a Basic Prosthetic.
- Surgery can now be performed even on days when a match is scheduled.
- With the introduction of the Weight system, survivors will no longer craft weapons they are unable to use. Likewise, survivors who cannot use one of their hands will not craft weapons that require both hands, such as bows and rifles.
- Weapon Recoil: Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles now have slightly greater bullet spread due to recoil, even when used by survivors with high Shooting.
- Pathfinding Improvements: Survivors are now better at finding the chest with the shortest actual travel distance from their current position.
- Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle bullets were moving so quickly that they would occasionally pass straight through survivors, especially at higher game speeds. Their projectile speeds have been slightly reduced.
- Maximum Survivor Health: 100 + Strength → 100 + Strength × 2
- Body Enhancement Surgery Unlock Requirement: Win the Gold League → Win the Silver League
Bug Fixes
- While revising the bullet hit calculation described above, we discovered that an incorrect formula had caused the chance of shots hitting the body to be nearly 100%. This issue has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where survivors would not switch to another loaded weapon or a melee weapon after running out of ammunition for their current weapon.
- Fixed an issue where, after defeating one enemy while fighting multiple opponents, survivors would ignore another enemy even when that enemy was directly in front of them.
- Fixed an issue where survivors would not properly reposition themselves to shoot around obstacles blocking their target.
- Fixed an issue where players could enter a Championship match by clicking its reserved date even when it was not the actual day of the Championship.
- Fixed an issue where Stamina consumed after failing a training session was not immediately reflected in the UI.
- Fixed an issue where increases to Knowledge were not displayed when a random stat was increased through training or rest.
- Fixed an issue where achievements and higher difficulty levels were not unlocked after clearing the game on Hard difficulty or above.
