Update 1.1.2

Shortcutty · build 23644615 · published

On SteamNotes only · this build shipped before we watched the app

Hi Shortcutty users!

Shortcutty can now run independently of Steam after a one-time launch. When Shortcutty is launched directly or with Windows, Steam should no longer show you as using the app.

All you need to do is launch Shortcutty through Steam once after downloading this update. After that, you will be able to:

  • launch Shortcutty directly via Shortcutty.exe in the Steam installation folder, or through a shortcut to that file;

  • launch the app automatically using the “Start with Windows” option. If you previously had this option enabled, the app will automatically switch to the new startup mode on first launch.

This behavior is tied to your local Windows user account. If you reinstall Windows or create a new Windows user account, you will need to launch the app through Steam once again.

You can still launch the app from your Steam library if that is more convenient for you, but Windows startup will now always happen without launching Steam. Please leave a comment if you preferred the old startup behavior and would like an option to switch between the old and new startup modes.

Please share your feature requests in the Feature Requests & Feedback forum thread. I’d be happy to keep improving your experience.

I would also greatly appreciate your honest reviews on the app’s store page. It has been a little over a month since release, and thanks to your feedback, quite a few useful features have already been added. Thank you, and see you in the next updates!
