Broadcast Empire v0.12.1
This update expands Workshop data packs and adds several quality-of-life improvements across commissions, IP, branding, rights, films, and regulator visibility.
Workshop expansion
- Workshop packs can now add live rights, films, and station branding, alongside shows, talent, producers, directors, rivals, and live formats.
- The Workshop Manager has new authoring tabs for live rights, films, and branding, including image selection and pack summary counts.
- Live rights packs can create recurring packages or one-off events that appear in future Rights Market windows.
- Workshop films are now added to the starting film library when a selected pack is used for a new game.
- Branding packs can change the station shell colours and page header artwork across major management screens.
- Workshop uploads now tag and count the new content types, making packs clearer before publishing.
Management improvements
- The My Commissions list now has filters for search, commission type, genre, and production status.
- Commission list styling has been improved so large libraries are easier to scan and manage.
- IP Library spin-offs can now be named before funding, giving franchise extensions a cleaner identity from the start.
- The regulator view now explains where complaints come from, including risk drivers, case triggers, mitigation advice, and the latest complaint movement.
- Regulator case rows now show more context, including trigger reasons and case pressure.
Balance and fixes
- Workshop pack loading is more robust for mixed or incomplete pack data.
- Selected Workshop packs are now loaded in the intended order.
- Workshop images, colours, live rights, films, and branding data are normalised more safely before use.
- Rights Market generation now includes eligible Workshop live rights without duplicating already-owned packages.
- Content risk now better reflects scheduling context, including lower risk for later adult slots and safer family-friendly placement.
