Hi, Shortcutty users!
Added a confirmation dialog when deleting a tab or group. Additionally, if the tab or group being deleted contained shortcuts, the dialog will include an option to return those shortcuts to the Desktop.
Added an optional quick-add group button. The button is enabled by default, but can be turned off in the settings if you prefer not to use it. It is always visible below all groups. Clicking it adds a new group to the end of the list (if the window height is exceeded, it will automatically scroll to the newly added group).
Fixed display names for system folders and drives in the shortcut list.
Changed the settings save logic to protect against config file corruption.
IMPORTANT! If your settings file gets corrupted due to an unexpected application crash or manual editing gone wrong (located at C:\\Users<UserName>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Shortcutty\\Full\\config.json for the full version and C:\\Users<UserName>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Shortcutty\\Demo\\config.json for the demo version), the following safeguard is now in place. If the application detects that the settings file is corrupted, it saves the current file under a different name (config.json.bak) and creates a new default settings file. Shortcutty will start essentially from scratch without your previous settings. This allows you to continue using the app even if an unexpected error occurs. The original config.json.bak file will remain in the same location, so you can manually transfer your settings, tabs, groups, shortcuts, and custom themes from the old file to the new one if needed (the file can be opened in any text editor). The chances of this happening are quite low (it has never occurred in 300+ hours of personal use), but this ensures the application remains functional even if something goes wrong with the original settings file.
