Global Protocol: New World Order Playtest · build 23189408 · published
This update delivers a major Performance Overhaul for AI command execution, significantly refines the Modding Framework, and adjusts Game Pacing for a more strategic experience.Performance & Engineering:
AI Command Execution: Implemented a massive optimization pass for how the AI processes and executes complex strategic commands. This results in much smoother frame times during high-activity simulation ticks, especially in late-game scenarios.
System-Wide Polish: Delivered multiple performance fixes across the simulation core, reducing CPU overhead during global events.
Retreat Bugfix: Resolved a specific bug in the army retreat logic that could cause units to occasionally enter an invalid movement state after defeat.
Game Balance & Pacing:
Strategic Pacing: Based on player feedback, we've adjusted the default game speed to be 2x slower. This provides more time for tactical decision-making and ensures that global events don't pass by too quickly during intense conflicts.
UI Pacing: UI animations and feedback loops have been synchronized with the new game speed for a consistent experience.
Modding Framework:
.NET Modding Support: Significantly improved our .NET-based modding framework, providing more robust hooks for community-created content.
Metadata Synchronization: Synchronized all Signed Distance Field (SDF) font assets and project metadata for full compatibility with the latest engine features.
