Patch Notes - Movement overhaul, new dungeons, hunting, UI improvements, fixes

Added:

  • Ability to Transfer watchtower ownership to another empire, can only be done when not currently being sieged, the receiving empire must accept watchtower transfer

  • Sprint Changes

    • Removed the ability to toggle sprint mode, instead the character will always run (at nearly the previous sprint speed)

    • Running at the default move speed will no longer deplete stamina

    • Adjusted the speeds of moving and swimming to compensate for these changes

    • Adjusted the stats of roads to match or exceed the speed you would reach before while sprinting

    • Added the ability to toggle “RP Walk” which will cause you to move at a fixed low speed for roleplay purposes

    • Added a default ability (Sprint) to gain a boost of speed for a short duration

  • Ancient Overgrown Mine Profession Dungeons (Carpentry + Masonry)

    • Carpenters: Gather Hexite Infused Roots, Saw them into timber and Deliver them to the minecart deposit

    • Masons: Gather Ancient Slabs from brick piles, Repair Archways to keep the path open for traversing the dungeon quickly

    • This more active activity gives improved EXP for both roles and items which can be used in crafting to obtain more desired materials

    • Hexite Wood Fragment can be used to craft amber or increase output of planks

    • Ancient Mortar can be used to craft gypsite or increase output of bricks

    • Dungeon icons are currently missing from the in-game map. While a fix is on the way, here are the coordinates for the dungeon locations in the meantime.

  • New Prospecting Ability for T3 Hunting

    • Track down and hunt the Swift Cervus.

    • It’s damage reduction scales with more players

    • You must complete a certain amount of prospecting steps and damage to get loot

  • Slayer, Tamer, Construction, Sailor level 40 outfits rewarded from lvl 40 Achievement (automatically unlocked if you already completed the achievement)

  • Uggo can now be placed as a decorative building and can be interacted with to gain a very small buff which scales based on it’s rarity

  • Added T3 Storehouse Building

  • Traveler Tasks for Tiers 7 through 10 are now available and can be unlocked by completing associated quests.

  • Mushrooms, berries, and sand can now all be packaged.

Changed

  • Significantly boosted the amount of wispweave filaments that are output from processing wispweave plants

  • Added an option to always show sign text in building worldspace labels

  • Updated layout of login screen to allow for more info and easier readability

  • Login screen announcements are now translated into target languages

  • Active projects will now show in world labels (previous only completed and inactive would show)

  • Added and option to see labels on buildings where projects are available for help

  • Increased the HP of berries to match flowers

  • Increased stacking of Starbulbs, Cut Gems and Legendary Stone Diagrams to be more in line with other items

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue that was sometimes causing resources to override existing resources when respawning

  • Fix for Argent ore sometime not spawning during prospecting

  • Added several missing compendium entries

  • Prospecting UI window has been updated (currently has an issue from translations which will be fixed soon)

  • Profession Crits have been fixed in how they show in some parts of the UI (showing as a % in stats and other tooltips)

  • Fixed a potential exploit where items could be collected from another dimension in some cases

  • Adjusted the Titan Bed furniture model to reduce clipping when placed against walls

  • Fixed the position of the Titan Table furniture model

  • Adjusted the height of the Titan Hanging Pot furniture model

  • “Military Time” in the settings has been renamed to “24 hours clock”

  • Crafting Uggo now correctly uses the mallet instead of the smithing hammer tool

  • Large quantity purchases from travelers was optimized to process smoother

  • Fixed an issue with Empire name uniqueness not being case sensitive

  • Fixed a few issues with clothing models

    • Some issues with the capes clipping

    • Level 80 smithing outfit using the wrong texture

    • Metal armor using the wrong glove mesh

  • Upgraded to a new version of our internal UI framework which should solve a variety of small layout issues in the UI

    • We’re aware that this is currently causing some layout issues and are working to fix these in a hotfix patch asap

Known Issues

  • While Prospecting when another player does a different prospect near you it can cause the prospecting UI to show the wrong thing, but this is just a UI visual glitch and should fix the next time you use the prospect ability.

  • Transfer watchtower doesn’t work through the map

  • Emperors who receive watchtower transfer requests while offline will not see the request popup when logging in.

  • Claim icons on the map appear greyed out, or have misplaced elements.

  • Preset swap abilities are named incorrectly (off by 1).

  • Prospecting UI has characters which shouldn’t be showing stemming from the translation system
