From Dev Nekos:

Dear Human Friends, Hello! We have just completed a series of feature iterations and core system optimizations to create a smoother and more intelligent interaction experience. Here are the details of this update:

✨ Key Feature Updates:

  • (Important) Proactive Vision Focus: The window designated in the screen-sharing dropdown (small triangle) will now also apply to manual screenshots and "Vision-based Proactive Chat." This allows you to limit Neko's field of view, preventing "visual recursion" and better supporting multi-monitor setups.

  • Interaction Enhancements: Added a "Touch Feedback" configuration in model settings. The translation box is now draggable, allowing for a more customized layout.

  • Connectivity & Access: Added manual port configuration in the system tray menu. Alibaba Cloud API pages will now open in your system's default browser for a more seamless experience.

🛠 Performance & System Optimizations:

  • Core Architecture Streamlining: Removed several Langchain and database dependencies to significantly improve response times.

  • Usage Telemetry: Introduced Token usage statistics and telemetry systems to help you (and us) monitor resource consumption in real-time.

  • Neko Claw Enhancement: Optimized the "Neko Claw" task result parser to reduce "hallucinations" (gibberish). We have also increased the priority of Neko Claw plugins during task execution.

🐞 Fixes & Improvements:

  • Achievement System: Optimized the logic for Steam achievements related to the Workshop and character avatars.

  • Stability Fixes: Resolved intermittent bugs in voice chat and various minor UI issues.

  • UI Polish: Further optimized the Music Recommendation interface.

🚀 Upcoming Plans:

This weekend, we plan to rework the Plugin SDK and implement the "Image Sharing" feature for Proactive Interaction.

We will soon split the N.E.K.O.'s full-screen window architecture to further optimize CPU performance.

Thank you for your continued support of Project N.E.K.O.!
