Hello everyone,

This is Jooyoo, the developer of ZOMVIRUS.

The long-awaited Multiplayer CO-OP mode has finally arrived!
Along with the new CO-OP mode, we’re also bringing zombie visual updates and starting to address the feedback you’ve shared with us.

Let’s take a look at what’s included in this update.

1) CO-OP Multiplayer Mode

(Stage 3 gameplay screenshot)

A 2-player CO-OP mode has been added!

Use the weapons and items you’ve collected individually and play together with a friend, from Stage 1 all the way to Stage 13 at Hapjeong Station.

(Multiplayer TV UI)

You can access CO-OP mode through the TV UI in the lobby.
Create a room and share the room code with your friend.

(Multiplayer TV code input UI)

Enter the code to match with your friend.
(A full matchmaking system is planned for a future update.)

(Multiplayer lobby)

Check what weapons your friend is bringing and plan how you’ll survive the zombie horde together.

2) Zombie Visual Updates

We’re continuously working to make the game feel more realistic and more terrifying.

As the first step, this update includes visual upgrades for five zombies.

The classic blue-shirt zombie returns with

more realistic scars and refined facial details.

Yes… the hair has grown back.

(A personal wish from the developer, finally fulfilled…)

This zombie now features a hairstyle commonly seen in Korea, with improved skin tones and more realistic scars.

Another bald—no, white T-shirt zombie.

(It feels like the designer is fulfilling all my wishes… 😭)

Inspired by Hongdae’s unique and expressive atmosphere,
this zombie now sports a more distinctive hairstyle.

Once again… please let the hair grow.

This zombie returns with a classic military buzz cut and camouflage face paint, reflecting the appearance of real Korean soldiers.

There’s even a rumor that the previous version was inspired by someone specific…

A smiling zombie.

Yes, smiling.

A zombie running at you while smiling—just imagining it is terrifying.

Break through the scarier mob of zombies with visual updates!

3) Upcoming Updates

We are currently organizing and reviewing all the feedback you’ve shared with us.

One of the most common requests was a clearer tutorial, so we’re already working on improvements.

(Tutorial main screen)

The tutorial, which was previously easy to miss, is being moved to the TV interface so it’s more visible and accessible.

(Tutorial in progress)

We’re redesigning the tutorial so that even players who are new to VR can easily understand the controls.

In addition, we’ll continue refining the game based on your feedback and deliver improvements as soon as possible.

If you encounter any bugs, have suggestions, or think
“this would be cool to have,”
please leave a comment or post in the community—we’re listening!
