It’s hard to believe that the year is already coming to a close — and what better way to wrap it up than with our biggest MEs update yet.This update introduces a feature we’ve been excited to finally share: VRM avatar support.Along with new creative tools, improved camera functionality, new worlds, and a special collaboration.Let’s take a look at what’s new.
You can now upload VRM avatars directly into MEs and use them as your in-world avatar.Bring your favorite VRM character into MEs to explore worlds, meet others, and experience the platform in a more personal way.※ For recommended formats and troubleshooting, please refer to the MEs Manual.
Adding patches to your world is now much faster.With this update, you can now import files directly into the world:
Press N while in WORLD
Select any supported file
The file will be imported instantly as a patch in your current world
This makes iteration faster and keeps you focused on building, exploring, and experimenting without breaking your flow.
A brand-new Camera Mode lets you move freely through the world and capture photos, videos, or livestream footage from custom angles.Adjust:
Field of View
Roll
Exposure
and frame your shots just like a real camera.
The existing Text Patch has been upgraded — you can now change text color.This opens up new possibilities for notes, messages, poetry, signage, and spatial storytelling inside your worlds.
We’re excited to introduce a special avatar collaboration with artist Genie.Experience a unique avatar that blends Genie’s creative vision with the MEs world.
A limited-time Christmas World is now available.Take a quiet moment, wander through the space, and enjoy the holiday atmosphere in MEs.
We’ve introduced a new Avatar Showroom World, designed as a space to showcase avatar collaborations.This world features the Genie collaboration avatar, allowing you to view and experience the avatar in a dedicated environment before using it in MEs.
