Update 1.7 has been released!
⚠️Warning:
During update deployment, servers will be temporarily unavailable for technical maintenance. We expect this maintenance to last around 90-120 minutes. Game client update is required. Many low-traffic servers will be changing to a procedural map, while 6 official servers will be closed. Details on server organization can be found in our previous steam postDue to improvements on the Mirny map and to safezone mechanics, a partial wipe is required on just official servers. Bases and safezone storage will be deleted, however your characters inventory, reputation, and money will be saved. This wipe is optional for private servers

This major update is packed full with new content, from new weapons to base decorations. But by far the most impactful feature in this update has got to be procedural map generation. We have created a system from that ground up that utilizes new custom made points of interest to generate completely new Deadside maps with the click of a button. With this system, each wipe and each server will have a unique story.
Lots of effort has been put into these new POIs to create dynamic and fun areas to PvPvE in. You will see lots of new assets, buildings, missions, and large landmarks. For example, the scrapyard below will provide lots of densely packed scrap metal, creating both cover and loot. We also have the pyramid, an old rocket factory with high tier loot to offer.
Each map layout is generated from a string of numbers called a seed, with map sizes ranging from 1x1 to 4x4. There are over 2 million different possible seeds, offering a near limitless amount of maps to experience!
Some of the new procedural map points of interest will be added to Mirny as well! Specifically the factory, Pyramid and warehouse POIs. Here is the Pyramid on Mirny:
Also coming with this update is a new weapon; the Cross Vector! This iconic weapon spits .45 at a high rate of fire with controllable recoil using its uniquely engineered off-axis bolt travel. Here you can see it mounted on one of our new decorations, a weapon display!
While we are on the subject of weapons, explosives in this update will be getting a slight rework. Now in order to craft any explosives, you must first have an Explosives Workbench at your base. Once created, you will also need another new crafting material to make explosives; gunpowder. You can get gunpowder by disassembling ammunition at a workbench. Then it can be crafted into explosives, or maybe our new Improvised Grenade! These small grenades don’t deal as much damage compared to the real thing, but it's still a useful tool to have on hand.
Of course with the new year around the corner, it is time for us to begin our new years event! This event adds festive weapon skins into the loot pool, decorates the safezone, and adds new decorations to find. Some areas of the map like Kamensk have a large Christmas tree with lootboxes and edible candy canes under them!
Along with the festive decorations, we have added a lot of new base decorations with this update! There are the weapon displays we mentioned before, decorative fences, a wooden pole, full body wolf and deer trophies, 2 desk lamps, 3 wall lamps, 8 new flag variants, and 22 wall mounted road signs! That's 42 new ways to make your base your own.
We have also continued to support and add new features to our modkit. In version 1.7, you will get the much requested ability to add modded items! We now have a system that registers your modded items with its own GUID, to prevent issues with replication that you may have experienced before if you tried this previously. We have also added support for custom chat commands, custom chat messages, expanded airdrop modding, and nodes to adjust player money. Tutorials are available on our Official Wiki for those who are willing to take the modding plunge. We can’t wait to see what our modders create with these new abilities!

As for our plans now that 1.7 has been released, we have a few things that we have already started working on. We plan to add a bunch of new weapon attachments like canted red dots, foregrips, lasers and more. There are two new weapons in the works; the Rsh-12 revolver and the improvised Mosin-K grenade launcher. Of course we plan to continue supporting our existing projects like the modkit, procedural generation, while also improving and adding upon existing features. Loot Changes:

- The amount of Scrap Metal and Rebar in Metal Piles has been reduced by approximately 25%
New Crafting Recipes:
- 20 Nails can be converted into 1 Scrap Metal if you have a Workbench at your base
- 1 Fabric can be disassembled into 2 Rags
- The Electronic Repair Kit and some electrical appliances can be disassembled at the Workbench
- Hunter Vest, Field Vest and Tactical Vest can be disassembled at the Workbench into 2 Rags
- Electronic Repair Kits and Flasks can be converted into 1 Scrap Metal at the Metal Planer
Game Balance Changes:
- Bots have a revised vision system
- If a player places an assault ladder belonging to another player on their base, the raid block for the base owner will no longer trigger even after the ladder is destroyed. The same behavior now applies to beds and sleeping bags. Other objects (structures and modules) still trigger the raid block like normal
- Bases now block airdrop and helicrash spawns to occur within their claim
- Placed additional construction blockers in some POIs on Mirny
- AI spawns on the Mirny airfield will now trigger farther away from players
- Removed shallow areas of the ocean on Mirny to prevent base construction
Inventory Improvements:
- Improved drag and drop logic for weapons and clothing across various inventory types
- Improved item auto stacking logic
- Huge weapons (M99) can now be carried in the inventory
- Large weapons (such as Mosins, SVDs, etc.) can now be carried in more backpacks in larger quantities.
- Clothing and vests can now store other clothing items or backpacks.
Ammo Stack Size Changes:
- 12x70: 500 -> 150
- 7.62x39: 500 -> 300
- 5.45x39: 500 -> 300
- 5.56x45: 500 -> 300
- .45: 500 -> 300
Bug Fixes & Minor Changes:
- The server will now remember the last tab an admin/moderator had open after logging out
- Players now hear the correct concrete footstep sounds when walking inside the building near “Khimmash” in G8.
- The game no longer freezes when entering via the “Continue” button if the player doesn’t have the required mod installed on the client.
- Fish now correctly appear in the player’s inventory after being caught from a boat
- Item sprites on the workbench now update after being painted
- Items now stack correctly after being removed from a machine
- Fixed a bug that caused water bottles to incorrectly display 20 water when empty
- Fixed muzzle brake misalignment on the UAG, P900, UMR45, and BB-19
- Fixed incorrect material sounds for footsteps in a handful of various buildings
- Fixed a bug with the scorp that prevented the player from aiming for several seconds after reloading
New Modkit Features (will be available on release):
- You can now add custom modded items using the ModRegistry, allowing for fully functional modded items
- The airdrop manager is now moddable. You can now change drop interval, height, speed, loot, and more
- Removed the actor placement error that displayed cyrillic text when placing some objects
- Tweaked fast travel mechanics to prevent possible mod errors
- Added the OnChatMessage event to ModRegistry, allowing the creation of custom chat commands
- You can now directly edit the amount of money in a players account
