Cataclysm Wars · build 18862366 · published
Just as promised, we come to you with our new update which contains 4 wave defense maps, 3 skirmishes and 8 new units to use in both new modes. All of this entirely free for current owners of Cataclysm Wars! Alongside it we also plan to have a demo out for anyone not having the game looking to try it out.
This has been an amazing process for our team and we wanted to thank everyone for all the support we've received on our very first game. We will of course keep supporting the game in case feedback or bug reports come in, but CW is now considered entirely complete, and we will focus on future projects we may soon reveal more on. In the meantime, enjoy the update, this changelog of all we've added, as well as the many many memes the team has made while developing the game.
Added Wave Defense mode, alongside 4 maps on which to fight against overwhelming odds.
Added 3 Skirmish missions showcasing other sides of the conflict, one playing as the fearsome Imperial Guard, another confronting a strange new enemy, and the last showing more of Cataclysm Wars' tabletop game roots by adapting a module from it into the game!
Added 8 new units present in both Wave Defense and Skirmish, amongst them the fearsome Steam Golem, Royal Sharpshooter Teams and Rocket Launchers.
Game size noticeably reduced yet again.
Further optimization done on most parts of the game.
Added an indicator for Guard Mode showing when units are on the defensive.
Map now has a gradient between the paper-style "fog of war" map and the discovered standard map.
Barks now scale with the current camera zoom level.
Unit upgrades are now saved on a per-level basis.
Enemy units attacking your forces are revealed from the fog of war.
An option has been added for the camera to follow enemy units during their turn if desired.
