Hey everyone! A brand new patch is available to download for Gori which contains a whole host of bug fixes and some new features. The biggest amongst these is some shiny Twitch integration that allows streamers to bring their chat into the game and...well...slay them - we'll go through those specifically first and then onto the rest of the patch!

The Steam Scream Fest

Today the Steam Scream Fest kicks off.... Now, actually (cheers UK time zone change) - meaning you can get a ridiculous 30% off the game! That's right - for little over £10 you can get the greatest game of 2024 released about a cat that rides hoverboards. Bonkers.

If you haven't picked up Gori yet (we get it, that wishlist backlog is FULL) now is the perfect time to treat yourself - or to tell your friends you know of this game they are gonna LOVE (tell them about the meow button)

Twitch Integration

We've added the ability for your chat to support you through free custom commands and bits through some radical Twitch features - including :

1 - Viewers type !Join to have their name attached to an enemy on spawn then a celebratory message is displayed when you kill them!

2 - Gifts are placed throughout each level - when you attack one, anyone who has donated bits or used the custom command is ranked and displayed - and you'll get health, boost juice or in game credits depending on what you need, as well as a snazzy hat that protects you from damage!

3 - When you die, viewers can spam the custom command to fill up the meter and bring you back to life!

On October 31st the Free Halloween update will be going live for everyone on all platforms - letting Gori get into the spooky spirit covering the menus with frightful decorations, and also adding a new skin to the game that lets you become what the Adorable Army are afraid of at night.

The Special Halloween Skin pack comes free with the update - featuring a glow in the dark outfit for Gori, a spooky shield skin, and a hellish new paint job for F.R.A.N.K - complete with Ouija board (hoping to summon more unicorns to slay no doubt!)

On top of the the cosmetic update and new skin, we've also added full Mandarin VO support for the Chinese fans out there!

On top of this, to celebrate National Cat Day (every day, if you ask cats) the physical editions of Gori are now out on Ps5! featuring a host of sweet goodies inside for the collectors out there (as well as the chance to find a golden ticket and win your very own F.R.A.N.K board - doesnt swear unfortunately)

This patch brings more than just some new toys for content creators though!

Controls

Added ability to rebind movement keys on PC
Button prompts in loading screen now displays latest device used on PC
Moving mouse in option menus now changes layout to keyboard on PC
Players can now select controller glyphs style in the options menu
Added support for DualSense™ for all PC platforms
Fixed flipped stick and invert axes settings

Visuals

Added 90 frame rate limit option
HDR now works correctly on PC platforms for screen above 1000nits brightness
Added option to graphics menu to lock vertical FOV

Gameplay

Time medal stats in level 7 is tweaked
Cuddly Carnage difficulty now available if ever completed level 8 on any save slot
Twitch Integration added

Bug Fixes

Player no longer gets stuck when performing a Tankkill immediatly after a finisher
Player will no longer be able to die right after using extra life
Fixed issue with cut scene skipping without input
Trigger buttons in photomode now display correctly on Steamdeck
Fixed Level 6 Challenge 1 Displaying wrong damage amount
Fixed camera twitch when using Grenade shot
Updates grenade UI icon when changing to the original in upgrade booth
No double Gori in photomode when using eggporter
Player now stops movement during supershot charge when grinding
Instability issues in cutscenes fixed
Boss is now vulnerable for a longer time on highest difficulty
Collision issues with mushroom platforms in level 7 fixed
Added collision in level 4 challenge to prevent cheating
Legend outfit will save when final level is complete
Fixed Frank missing and crash after resurrect
Fixed player dying immediately after using Extra life
Fixed Alt+Tab during skip cut scene query locking the game
Fixed Main Menu vanishing after choosing no on apply graphics query
Fixed grinds not refueling after supershot
Fixed too fast turning when jumping with evade and boost
Fixed target lock not locking on nearest visible enemy
Demonicorns break grass in level 2 to prevent getting stuck
Fixed unicorn suddenly vanishing
Fixed Slash/Bash animation getting locked
Pause game on Steam overlay activated
