v1.4.0 - Online Multiplayer and Open Source

We are thrilled to announce the release of Melody Mania Version 1.4.0, packed with a exciting new features and enhancements that will take your karaoke experience to the next level!

What’s new

🕹️ Online Multiplayer (experimental): Connect with friends on Steam, browse songs together, and see each other's performance when singing! Our new online multiplayer mode makes virtual karaoke parties a reality.

Note however the following restrictions:

• You can play online only those songs that all players have locally. For legal reasons, no copyright protected song material is sent over the internet.
• It is recommended to mute your voice chat when singing. This is because your singing is delayed for other players compared to the local song audio, which is played for everyone in real-time.

🎶 Support for New Versions of the UltraStar format: We’ve upgraded our song format support to include the latest UltraStar versions, ensuring stability and compatibility with a broader range of songs and features.

🌍 Localization of the UI: Melody Mania has been localized into more languages, making the game accessible to a wider audience around the globe.

Open Source

🔓 But that's not all! In a move to foster innovation and collaboration, large parts of Melody Mania have been made open source. You can find it on GitHub in its sister project UltraStar Play. We invite developers and enthusiasts to contribute and help us create the ultimate karaoke experience. You can now track issues, submit bug reports, and propose new features all in one place.
