🥳🎂🎈🎆 Happy 5-year anniversary, Levelhead! 🎆🎈🎂🥳

The Levelhead launch was a very weird time. The pandemic had just started, and so we'd moved out of our office to start working from home a mere 4 weeks from launch day. The release went surprisingly smoothly despite that, though the next few months of releasing game updates were pretty tricky since all of our platform partners were struggling to handle their own transitions to work-from-home.
But we did it! We released Levelhead into a pandemic and our studio survived! And it's been a true delight to see the Levelhead community continue creating amazing stuff over all of these years.
In the first couple years of Levelhead we were doing a weekly series called "Community Spotlight" where we'd pick a few cool things from the community to showcase. We got to 149 spotlights before we fully shifted all of our studio resources over to Crashlands 2. That's sort of an awkward number to have left off on. But hey, that means we got to use #150 for the 5-year anniversary!
So welcome to the 150th Community Spotlight!
5-yr Anniversary Community Campaign
A bunch of people in the Levelhead community got together to create a mini-campaign in celebration of this milestone. Check out the trailer for it:
You can play by adding all of the levels to your bookmarks via the playlist, but if you don't feel like playing the campaign yourself (or want to also see someone else play it), check out SamMeBe's playthrough
Shoutout to everyone who worked on this project:
- Organizers: Maoy & PureKnix
- Testers: Noob Jr, BucinAMAZINJr, ICErovTERROR, Maoy, PureKnix
- Builders: Kalhua, Nanomical, FlowArt, Arity, Noob Jr, KoJi, PureKnix, Green0ne, Maoy, DomoZam
I continue to be completely blown away by the design chops of the Levelhead community 🥰

ICYMI: The original Community Campaign!
The 5-year anniversary campaign is great, but did you know that the community also came together to release a FULL campaign?
It features the work of tons of level-builders, and even provides a more campaign-like experience with instructions for how to mod it into your game to replace the original campaign!
Check out the docs for all the info you need to play this campaign, and to see who contributed to it. And here's the trailer!

Levelhead is still going!
It's extremely gratifying to see the Levelhead community still hanging out and making levels today, 5 years after it initially launched, and being so open and friendly to newcomers. Levelhead never got the popularity we'd hoped for, but it makes up for that by having just the most delightful, tight-knit community in all of video games.
And that community is still making tons of really great stuff! The 2024 Bscotch Wrapped has a bunch of fun stats about Levelhead, but the most important summary is that the community is still here, still making levels, still doing mind-blowing speed-runs, and still being amazing human beings 💖💖💖
