Find Who You Follow

The world carries more colour while you simply watch it, and the family you follow no longer dresses like everyone else.

A resting tone for the land. The richer colour and depth that photo mode brought no longer waits for photo mode. The view you read for hours now carries a gentle grade of its own. Photo mode still lifts off from there exactly as far as it always did, and its vignette stays where it belongs — in a photograph.

The Followed stand apart. Following a household used to make its kin agree on a colour without standing out from anyone: roughly one household in seven wore the very same one. A followed family now draws from dyes of its own, so you can find them in a crowded street.

And the crowd yields while you watch. With “The Followed” open, the other households let their colour go quiet, so the ones you are watching carry it. Close the panel and the town takes its colour back.

Seven families of things stopped hiding in the ground. Plots, causeways, crops, rock, reeds, shrubs and wildflowers had never been given their place in the colour system, and some were painted almost the exact shade of the soil beneath them — a causeway's timber deck could vanish against dry ground. Every part in the game is now held to the same rule.

A full vigil now says so. Clicking to keep a vigil when you already keep as many as you may did nothing, and said nothing. It now answers: “Your vigil is full — release one to keep another.”

Game update2 Sep 2026The RaisingIn “The Founding” you arrived early enough to watch the first towns take hold. This update is about what those towns do next — they decide to build something, and the whole street turns out for it. A town raises its own works, and the street turns out to them. A well or a granary used to accumulate quietly until, one year, it simply existed. Now every work has a raising. When that day comes the…Game update31 Aug 2026The FoundingThis update ships early, and honestly: a save made while zoomed all the way in could fail to load in v0.44 — silently, so it looked like the Continue button did nothing. That is fixed, and it could not wait for the rest of the week's work. A save made up close loads again. If you saved while walking among your people and Continue seemed to ignore you, it was not your save — it was us. Loading n…Game update29 Aug 2026The World LivesThe longest gap between updates ends with the biggest change this world has had: it founds, it burns, and it endures the way it was always meant to. Towns return, for the whole saga. The world used to stop making places after its first century and a half — on The Long Winter the map emptied toward three lonely settlements and stayed there. New towns now rise across the entire age: about ten sta…
