When Critter Café opens its doors on November 26 for Steam and Nintendo Switch, your very own café will be at the centre of a cosy, magical journey. But what good is running a café if it’s never open? Plus, how can you make sure you're serving the best possible eats and treats to your customers? In this post, let's take a closer look at how to run your café, so it operates as nicely as it looks!
When you decide the time is right for your café to be open for business, head over to the register at the back right of the café. Select the Critters who’ll accompany you on your shift, and get ready for some eager customers to arrive. Once you're Open for Business, you'll have a set amount of time to fulfil orders from folks in your café.
Customers will raise their hands for attention, and it’s your job to take their order and fulfill their wishes with the following mini games:
Pouring coffee!
Fill the cup of coffee up to the line for that perfect cup of joe.
Deliver treats!
Remember the customer’s request and bring them food in the correct sequence.
Latte art!
Match the button presses to finish drinks with an artistic flourish.
Cake slicing!
Cut slices of cake to match the requested portion size. Make mine a large one!
Every shift is ranked out of three stars. Master these mini games and you’ll delight your customers. But don’t worry if you don't get things exactly right: while your final rank determines how much EXP you earn, there’s no punishment for getting any orders wrong, and customers will be eager to come again the next time you open your doors.
