The Company is pleased to report that biomass extraction on the colony world is ahead of schedule. Every ton we ship to orbit is worth forty times its weight in oil. Field losses remain within forecast.
We are hiring extractor crews. Shifts start November 3.
YOUR ROLE
Keep one extractor running until the evac order comes in. The local wildlife may try to interfere. Wildlife is the official term. Please use it.
The wildlife arrives in numbers you will not be able to count, and it does not walk in single file. It flows through the tunnels and fills every corridor, and when one route gets crowded it finds another. Last month it sealed the east gallery from the inside.
YOUR EQUIPMENT
You build on the rock above the tunnels, never inside them. Eight tower models are cleared for use. HR keeps getting questions about the railgun. You aim each tower's firing arc by hand, and if a position doesn't hold, you can pick the tower up and move it mid-shift. It needs a few seconds to set up again. Plan accordingly.
Orbital support is on call: a missile, an airstrike, an orbital laser and one nuclear device per shift. Requests for a second device will be declined.
Weather on site changes without notice and affects equipment performance. The Company is not liable for weather.
COMPENSATION
Every shift pays out in biomass, including the ones that end badly. Reinvest it in the upgrade program and you will last longer on the next one.
THE POSTING
Forty sites across four zones, from the surface down to the planet's core. Each zone ends at a large specimen the lab would very much like back intact. It will not come back intact.
Crews who complete the contract may sign on for extended duty: endless shifts, hazard modifiers, a daily assignment and a veteran tour. Performance is tracked on the Steam leaderboards and across 25 achievements. Briefings are available in 10 languages.
