New:

  • Healing now shows some presence: green numbers float up whenever the Vita-Ray, a Field Medic's Bomb zone, or a lifesteal kill restores health.

  • The tutorial gained a skull on a post you can heal. (healing dummy)

  • Halo now wears a glowing, player-colored halo with a slowly rotating core and drifting holy-light embers.

  • Added Halo’s exclusive healing grenade, featuring a matching-colored aura.

  • Halo’s grenade deals no damage and revives downed or dead co-op teammates. Other characters’ healing grenades cannot revive, and Hardcore still disables revivals.

  • Healing perks gated squad-wide. While any player wears Halo, nobody is offered Regeneration, Lifesteal or Energy Shield

  • Vita-Ray scales with her perks. Damage perks raise healing at a quarter of the bonus (Bloodlust +40% = +10% healing; penalties apply the same way, floored). Fire-rate perks scale heal and shield charge one to one. High Velocity, the only projectile-range perk, scales acquire range one to one.

  • Overhead player health pills, default on, every body including yours: the turret pill shader, carbon inset, green to blood fill, eased, uniforms written only on change. Toggle under Settings > Game.

  • Jax, the new Warden replacing Spank equipped with a riot shield in his off hand that's up whenever he isn't shooting, cutting damage from the front by 80% and shoving him back on every block, plus a shotgun as his starting gun. (Instead of starting with a pistol he starts with a shotgun as a base weapon)

  • Fuel barrels now stand in the center of every large grate in Classic.

  • Joining a match already in progress now takes you to the character select screen before you load in.

  • Enemies killed by the flamethrower now burn down to a small pile of ash. Ash remains cannot be resurrected from the dead by necromancers.

  • Rebuilt the first three bosses with new models, modern animations, smoother movement-to-attack transitions, and properly scaled deaths.

Changed:

  • Vita-Ray Changes: the beam is now drawn in the healer's own colour with a bright core that glows, Stars no longer lag behind the beam when it attaches, Halo now heals herself when no teammate is under her aim, and a teammate under the cursor takes the beam back immediately.

  • Halo's attack drones now fire the same Vita-Ray beam she does when they heal

  • Psych's knack has been reworked. Instead of larger explosions, right click now throws a deployable twin barrel turret, stands for 15 seconds. Explodes on death.

  • Co-op: the pause menu no longer shows a RESTART button to players who joined someone else's match.

  • The Warmonger is now a towering robot firing from its arm cannon, with color-changing eye lights that telegraph attacks.

  • The Glutton now eats wheelchair enemies (visually), chair included, grows after meals, and throws bone volleys.

  • The Necromancer performs full summoning gestures, and launches rising projectile plumes that chase players before scattering.

  • Smoothed client-side homing projectiles and fixed the Glutton’s bones appearing as green lines in co-op.

  • Smoothed explosive barrel movement while preserving collision, damage, and resting positions.

Fixed:

  • Fixed a delay when changing your mind mid-join: if you tried to join an address that was not responding and then chose to host instead, the game refused until the connection attempt timed out on its own

  • Halo's rack pickups now land in her free slot.

  • Healing numbers over a moving player now glide with the body rather than juddering behind it.

  • Fixed healing numbers not appearing for players who are not the host.

  • Fixed Jax being able to farm unlimited turrets with Disposable Arsenal.

  • Fixed players being able to drop or swap weapons from the weapon bar while downed.

  • Healing numbers now behave like damage numbers. A green number pops where the heal landed and floats up from there instead of following the player, for the host and for clients.

  • Fixed an issue where perks could still be selected while the UI was hidden with Ctrl+Z.

  • The spectator banner cut long player names off at 12 characters.

  • The large barred grates in Classic arenas were see through at some angles.

  • Fixed the Missile Barrage power-up continuing to fire missiles from a player after they were downed.

  • Fixed the torch flames on the character select screen floating in front of the wall sconces instead of sitting in them. This issue was based on hyper wide monitors only

  • Fixed Perk Slow-Mo and Perk Freeze: enemies and bullets now slow down and stop with the rest of the game while you pick a perk.

  • Halo no longer sometimes starts RPG mode with the Grav Gun.
