Hello to all our test pilots!
We’ve started receiving your feedback and turning it into tasks for the upcoming patch. We’ll be addressing the reported issues based on priority.
Here’s an approximate list of difficulties you may encounter in version [0.2.0]:
The aircraft can be difficult to control. There is currently no tutorial.
It’s not obvious how to restart a raid if the aircraft hasn’t crashed but can no longer take off.
(Tip: request an evacuation through the 3D icon of the airbase after enabling it on the map; alternatively, the host can use the “Return to Base” option in the pause menu — saying goodbye to the aircraft in the process.)It’s not immediately clear how to repair damage.
(Tip: apply planks to the damaged part → start hammering.)It’s not obvious how to restore completely destroyed aircraft parts.
(Tip: apply planks to the spot where the missing fragment used to be.)The inventory controls may feel unusual and unintuitive.
(Tip: pay attention to the hint in the bottom-left corner of the screen.)It’s not clear how to open the airbase building UIs: the shop, headquarters, and service station.
(Tip: point the crosshair at the 3D icon of the corresponding building.)3D icons for peaceful quests can blend into the background and be difficult to read.
There is currently no way to save your progress on the map. Although we mentioned this in the announcement, it still creates an obstacle to a complete gameplay experience.
There are also some technical issues:
No mouse sensitivity setting.
No visual style options, including the ability to disable dithering/outlines. The current visuals may be difficult to perceive for some players, and we expected this.
Periodic FPS drops for some users.
Connection stability issues. We haven’t received any direct complaints from players, but the author of this post has experienced several forced disconnects. Fortunately, reconnecting has worked reliably.
Some of the issues mentioned above are already being worked on. Obviously, the highest priority will be given to improving the experience for new pilots and removing the obstacles standing in the way of learning how to operate the machine.
