It turns out there are worse things than being swallowed by a dragon.
When Gargantar arrives on September 30 for all ARK: Dragontopia owners, Survivors will quickly discover that its seemingly bottomless appetite is good for considerably more than clearing the landscape.

The more Gargantar packs away, the tougher it becomes to bring down, turning a well-fed dragon into one formidable presence on the battlefield.
That enormous belly has a few other uses, too. Trusted allies can find themselves tucked safely away from danger, while unfortunate enemies may discover that ending up on the inside is a considerably less pleasant experience.
But Gargantar isn't descending upon the ARKs alone.
Get your taming gear ready, because a massive triple-threat drop lands next Wednesday, September 30! Alongside Gargantar, you will be facing the multi-headed terror of Cerberax and the highly anticipated Therizinosaurus TLC overhaul.
Brace yourselves, prepare your tribe, and watch the skies. We'll see you on the ARKs!

We’re moving into the release phase for ARK: Survival Ascended’s Unreal Engine 5.8 upgrade, with the rollout taking place in stages. Because this is a major technical upgrade under the hood, we're rolling out the update in multiple phases to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible on launch day. As part of that rollout, the full release is moving to October 28th, with a public beta opening ahead of launch.
Here’s the updated schedule:
This date change won’t affect Cerberax, Gargantar or the Therizino TLC, which are all still arriving on September 30th as planned!

There are also technical notes from Overwolf for modders preparing for the upgrade. Since these details mainly apply to creators, we’ve included their full notes below:
