Today our almighty overlords at Valve have graced us with the long-awaited release of their new Steam Frame standalone VR headset, and we're happy to announce that SimplePlanes VR is Steam Frame Verified! If you've just procured a Steam Frame, this means:
1. Congrats!
2. You can now have countless community-created aircraft (and other bizarre vehicles) literally at your fingertips, without requiring a separate PC!
To celebrate the occasion, SimplePlanes VR is now 75% off, letting you experience the joy of flight for only a very miniscule fraction of the price of the new headset you just bought. Presumably, anyway; as of writing this we only know the release date, not the price. Maybe Valve found a way to release the Frame for $2, who knows...
Anyway, if you're here because of the Steam Frame and you haven't heard of us before, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for checking our game out! Flight is one of the things that makes VR really special, and if this game winds up being your first experience flying a plane in VR we're honoured and we hope you love it as much as we do.
(P.S: We just released a cool new update for SimplePlanes 2 with turboshafts and exhaust and stuff. It's not a VR game [yet], but you might still find it fun.)
