Happy first day of the Steam Autumn Sale! We’re celebrating with a content update that adds four new unlockable table designs plus the setting you didn’t know you needed: Stank Mode!

Four New Tables

Today’s update adds four new table designs to Poker Night at the Inventory's roster, bringing the total up to 27. (That's a lot of tables!) Here's what's new:

Themed after Max’s trippy telekinetic abilities interface in Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse.

Inspired by an iconic old-timey Homestar Runner short, everyone's dressed in their old timey best.

Features retro shading on Tycho and a table-sized version of Gabe’s beloved yellow shirt from the Penny Arcade comics.

Pays homage to Team Fortress 2’s MvM co-op mode with a robotic skin for the Heavy.

Introducing Stank Mode

When our Poker Night at the Inventory remaster came out in March, some longtime fans were miffed that the upgraded lighting, graphics, and visual effects stripped away some of the original’s… stank, for lack of a better word.

We aim to please, so you can now flip a switch in the settings menu to enable Stank Mode, a subtly grimy filter that makes the colors a little less vibrant, the atmosphere a little smokier, and the overall aesthetic just a bit dingier. You asked for it, friends.

Looks Like We’re Gonna Have to Jump!

Also hitting today is the Looks Like We’re Gonna Have to Jump! bundle, which saves you money by pairing Poker Night at the Inventory with Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate, three bite-sized point & click adventures starring your favorite detective, Dangeresque (aka Strong Bad sporting a pair of stylish sunglasses).

Thank you to our, um, friends at Videlectrix for partnering on this bundle. Now please stop it with the shouty 2:00 a.m. phone calls about “good graphics.” We’d hate to have to get our lawyers involved.

Poker Night at the Inventory version 1.5.0

In addition to the new unlockable tables and newer dingier colors, we also fixed a bunch of bugs. Here are the fixes and small quality of life improvements you'll find in the update:

  • Added four new unlockable tables: Toys of Power, Parsnips A-Plenty, Gabe's Shirt XXXL, and Mann vs. Machine. All four new tables can be earned by winning tournaments.

  • Added "Stank Mode" option in gameplay settings, to flip the lighting and colors to a dingier palette more reminiscent of the original game.

  • Added a setting to allow special item buy-ins to repeat even after you've won them. This won't grant you an extra item, but will let you see the content and re-live the thrill of playing in item rounds again, after you've won all of them for real.

  • Fixed instances where the Host would sometimes say the blinds are changing when they aren't.

  • Fixed missing chip sound effects in various win cutscenes.

  • Fixed slider and toggle sound effects not playing in the pause menu until the menu was closed.

  • Fixed Tycho's finger intersecting his eyebrow in showdown closeups.

  • Fixed Heavy's visor disappearing when he busts out. He also no longer occasionally intersects with the chair and table after busting out. Finally we can all relax.

  • Fixed environment turning black when switching from Automata or Telltale Shield table during opening cutscene.

Thanks as always to everyone who has sent in bugs they find. If you're experiencing a bug we haven't fixed, drop a note in the comments or send us a support ticket.
