The team is working on a ton of exciting things for the 1.0 release, but much of that won’t roll out until then…

In the meantime, we do have some changes that we are pushing live right now.  We have rewritten the entire backend from old PHP to modern C# and this patch fully rolls it out! You’ll see the server finishing interactions like buying items faster than before, but this won’t impact the game inside dungeons.

This also rolls out a change that makes weapon types drop at predetermined values instead of being fully random. So now, you have a 50% chance for a bow, or a 50% chance for a katana instead of each weapon sharing the same drop rate (including shared weapons like the swords or the scrolls). Drops should feel more normalized relative to the Hero opening the chest, (eg. hopefully you won’t be opening 7 swords in a row on the Ranger anymore.)

Here are some other miscellaneous changes and fixes we are rolling out that we’ve backported:

  • Added visual glow to Map Nodes that show how populated a level is at a glance

  • ‘Play with Friends Only’ toggle remains on between levels instead of needing to re-select it every time

  • Training Point notification will disappear from the Town Menu Icon if your currently equipped hero has spent all their points, even if you have other heroes that have points to spend

  • Fixed a bug where mana values for scaling attacks were not being calculated properly with weapons that had reduced mana cost traits

  • The store has new weapons rotated in for purchase

  • Clients now connect over port 3074 instead of port 80 by default. If you’re having issues connecting you can try out the feature flag --use-fallback-socket-port

  • We’re now disabling the experimental branch and moving all of our experimental changes directly to the live client!

We have exciting announcements and updates coming soon, but I can’t spoil any of it here!  Keep on kicking *** and stay tuned!

Love,

The Dungeon Rampage Team <3

When we first teased about the EA launch, we said we would launch the game before GTA 6 and by the looks of it we are also heading out of Early Access before GTA 6. This has been a wild ride. We have done a lot of crazy things like porting the backend to C# and making the game be 16:9 instead of 4:3 and more all whilst in Early Access. And…Community1 Jun 2026Dungeon Rampage is going from a Revival to a Remaster!!Rampagers, We have heard your feedback and we are finally excited to announce that.... Dungeon Rampage is going from a Revival to a Remaster !! Here’s what 1.0 will look like: · Fully Performant Dungeon Rampage (Using Starling for rendering the game with the GPU instead of the CPU like it currently does) · HD Dungeon Rampage (Heroes, Pets, Enemy Models, Props, Attacks, Projectiles Animations, U…Game update28 Apr 2026Patch #13 - New Experimental ClientHey Rampagers! We are launching today an experimental client which you can access via going to Game Settings, Game Versions & Beta and then clicking experimental ! What is experimental? Experimental is a way for us to make more "risky" fixes and features which may or may not make it into the game! This will sync with the live servers, so any progress you make on the experimental branch is also…
