Teeto Hotfix 1 is live!

Hey everyone!

Eat Pant Games here, and we wanted to thank you all so much for picking up Teeto! It's been our baby for the past two and a half years and it was so exciting (and scary!) to finally get it out there into your hands! We also really appreciate your patience with us for fixing the issues that popped up after release (I know how annoying some of them were!) - but we've been hard at work making sure that the game is super stable and making all of the little fixes and improvements that y'all have suggested.

Below is the patch notes for this build:

  • Added extra flowers to 1-4. Helpful in co-op if you die and aren’t left stranded on an island all alone.

  • Fixed instances where you would grab the ledge of things that you WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO.

  • Fixed some issues with spamming inputs that would cause some breaking things and also some funky looking animation - now you can spam all you like.

  • Kieran flight in 4-1 now responds to your invert settings - THANKS KIERAN.

  • Adjusted the value of all stars + they will now be a consistent value. The economy is saved.

  • Star thresholds for all levels have been adjusted and can be consistently met. You can actually finish it now.

  • You now have analog movement! Shouldn’t notice much of a change if you play on Mouse/Keyboard but on a controller you can now have more control over your speed (if you go really slow you can get Teeto to do a lil’ walk - it’s amazing)

  • Fixed the stretching on the inside portals in the Hub World. Magic be crazy.

  • Absorbable elements will now give you a hint if you try and absorb them without Nory. (it’s not broken, Teeto is just a lot more useless without Nory)

  • Replaced any videos in the game with image sequences as they had trouble on Nintendo Switch. Videos = bad. Lot’s of pictures = good! It’s the 50s again.

  • You can now toggle between the camera following the player or completely manual rotation. Tell that camera man to leave you alone.

  • General collision fixes. Stopped you from walking through walls ‘cause I can’t be bothered modeling the Backrooms.

  • Fixed issue in the Hub World where the Michaels would disappear if you took them too far from home. Just set homesick = false.

  • General optimisations. Found that checkbox that said “game run good”. Toggled that on for ya.

  • Have improved the snow cannons in 1-5 to look less buggy if you do them fast. Also fixed an issue where occasionally you’d be stuck after landing. Turns out being shot out of a cannon can take its toll on you.

  • Added counts on the buildable snowmen in 1-5. A friendly reminder to finish building your snowman. Nobody wants to just be a torso.

  • Removal of all instances of the word “damn” from the game. A life lesson that us kiwis have normalised speaking like animals.

  • Fixed a collision issue where you get stuck in the tree in 2-1.

  • Added extra absorbable snow to 1-5. Helpful in co-op if you die and aren’t left stranded on an island all alone.

  • Fixed floating pole in 2-2. No beach magic allowed.

  • Fixed an issue where you would lose input, or game crashing on entering/exiting the proposal room in 1-3. Happy marriages = true.

  • Fixed a glowing torch post in 1-2. One torch having a main character moment and burning much brighter than the rest. We will not have this.

  • Fixed an issue where you would infinitely collect stars (sorry!). Eat the rich.

  • Adjusted the camera when you’re in the air to provide much more room to see where you’re falling. Helpful for the more tricky platform sections. Turns out seeing where you’re going is a GOOD thing.

  • Fixed an issue where you could get stuck behind an object in 1-1. Getting stuck in the very first level is not a good thing.

  • Added 1 extra Vionite to 3-3 to make the overall Vionites a CLEAN 120.

  • Lowered the Vionite requirements for unlocking the next act.

  • Complete rebuild on the rope and sliding systems to be more stable, performant and reliable. The bugs we saw were very funny and also made me sad.

  • Dropping/throwing Pippa’s bone out of bounds will now cause the bone to respawn. Pippa will be pleased.

  • The star achievements on Steam and PS5 are now cumulative - meaning you are no longer punished for spending stars at the store. Accidentally made a rage game.

  • Fixed the star achievements from only unlocking on level enter. Now it should happen immediately. Stupid lazy achievement system.

  • The cost graphic for the costume shop no longer covers the character (so you can see what you’re buying now!). Shady business practices are gone!

  • The boss in 1-6 should no longer defy death and continue spouting facts after being defeated. Dead people should be dead!

  • Adjusted the volume for the chase sequences in 3-4. It’s a banger but not that loud, c’mon.

  • Can now fire the blob blaster if you roll into a Michael.

  • Fixed an issue of sometimes dashing when you try to throw a Michael in the Hub World. Now you can freely pelt those things as much as you like (you monster).

  • Fixed an issue of being able to fire the blob blaster during the chase sequence in 4-5. No time for shooting - just run.

  • Fixed an issue of the final boss not resetting correctly if you die (just don’t die!).
