Hello everyone!
This hotfix is another major step toward the long-term vision for Ithiel AI as an AI Operating Environment, rather than just another chat window.
Over the last few weeks I've been rebuilding much of the internal architecture that allows Ithiel to understand its own Workspace, your library, and what you're actively working on.
What's New
🧠 Runtime Workspace Awareness
Ithiel now has a much better understanding of its current environment.
Instead of responding like a generic chatbot, it can now recognize:
Your active Workspace
Library collections
Selected files and assets
Current project context
Available capabilities and tools
Active stewardship tasks
This is the foundation for much more natural interactions going forward.
📚 Continuous Library Stewardship
Your library is becoming an active, living workspace.
When you add files, Ithiel can automatically begin:
Classifying content
Extracting text
Indexing knowledge
Generating summaries
Creating keywords
Discovering relationships
Organizing content into the appropriate collections
Rather than waiting for you to ask, Ithiel now begins understanding your library in the background as new content arrives.
⚡ Improved Workspace Experience
The Workspace has received numerous stability and usability improvements.
Recent updates include:
Better Explorer synchronization
Improved Library updates
Enhanced Agent Pulse activity reporting
Better runtime awareness
Improved stewardship workflow
Numerous bug fixes and architectural cleanup
Overall the Workspace should feel much more responsive and reliable.
AI Conversation Improvements
One of the biggest goals of this update is helping Ithiel understand where it is and what it's looking at.
As development continues, you'll notice Ithiel becoming much better at discussing files, collections, and projects that are already open inside the Workspace instead of responding like a traditional chatbot.
There is still work to do, but this update lays the groundwork for much smarter interactions.
External AI Imports (Work In Progress)
Support for importing conversations and knowledge from external AI platforms is actively being developed.
This includes ongoing work with:
ChatGPT
Grok
Claude
Other supported AI exports
Many imports already work surprisingly well, while others may still experience issues depending on the conversation format or export type.
If something doesn't import correctly, don't worry—this area is under active development and will continue to improve over the coming updates.

To experience the new Library Stewardship and Workspace Intelligence features, please make sure Autonomous Stewardship is enabled.
You can find it here:
Settings → Autonomous Stewardship → Enabled
When enabled, Ithiel can automatically:
📚 Classify new files as they're imported
🏷️ Organize them into the correct Library collections
📝 Generate summaries and keywords
🔗 Build relationships between knowledge
🧠 Maintain your Library through continuous background stewardship
💡 Prepare recommendations and cleanup proposals for your approval
If Autonomous Stewardship is disabled, Ithiel will still function normally as a conversational AI, but many of the new Workspace and Library features will not activate automatically.
This feature is still evolving, so if you encounter any issues or unexpected behavior, please let me know through the Steam discussions or bug reports. Your feedback is helping shape the future of Ithiel AI.

To build an AI that genuinely understands your workspace, your knowledge, and your projects—not just another chatbot.
