
Over the last few weeks, we have been running a massive closed beta with thousands of players.
We've released a series of major updates focused on immersion, survival mechanics, exploration, multiplayer, crafting, and overall gameplay improvements.
Thank you to everyone who has been sharing feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and reviews. Many of the features below were directly influenced by community requests on Steam forums and our Discord.
One of the most requested features is finally here!
✅ Save and load your progress in both solo and multiplayer
✅ Leaving to the main menu automatically saves your game
✅ Continue your journey later exactly where you left off
✅ Multiplayer saves are stored by the host
✅ Solo players can now pause the game using the Escape key
Crafting has been redesigned to feel more hands-on and immersive.
✅ Brand-new interactive crafting mechanics
✅ Use your hammer to manually craft vehicle parts
✅ New Cooking Bench for crafting food, painkillers, anti-frost pills, and other survival supplies
✅ Added a new recyclable resource: Organic
✅ Crafting benches and recyclers now require generator power
The world continues to grow with new locations and more variety.
✅ New Abandoned Factory POI featuring a completely new type of challenge
✅ New POI variations that can spawn alternate versions of buildings
These variations can include:

We've continued pushing Arctic Drive toward a more immersive road trip experience.

A road trip game lives and dies by how driving feels.
Over the last few updates we've made significant improvements to vehicles and driving mechanics.
✅ Major improvements to the third-person camera
✅ Suspension tuning to reduce stiffness
✅ Tire balancing for more realistic road handling
✅ Added weight values to all vehicle parts
✅ Improved player impact systems
✅ Added safeguards against duplicate vehicle spawns
Survival mechanics continue to evolve.
✅ Brand-new player damage system
✅ Fall damage added
✅ Heavy impacts can temporarily stun the player
✅ Drinks found in the world can now be contaminated
✅ Massive loot rebalance
