Hello Heroes!
Our last "big" blogpost was a while ago (in February) and now it's already summer (we nearly died of heat last week, but it's okay).
Today, we are SO EXCITED to celebrate the 5 YEARS anniversary of The Last Spell. Just 5 years ago right now, we were pushing the big scary "Release" button on Steam and released what turned out to be our biggest success yet, followed by 3 DLCs, and LOTS AND LOTS of updates!
But enough talking about the past, first of all, we wanted to share with you a very special illustration that Jacques, the art director of The Last Spell made to celebrate the occasion:
And on top of that, we've now officially sold over 750k units of The Last Spell across all platforms! This is a HUGE number for us, and again, it's only thanks to YOU, the best players in the world.
We also wanted to talk about the modding scene of The Last Spell!
As you know, we've recently added a bit more modding support in the game: namely, the modding of perks.
However, we were so impressed by what the community did with the game that we HAD to put a spotlight on two of our favourite mods!
One of our most active community members, Grobo, is working on a very ambitious mod called "Grobo's Tactical Overhaul". We're very impressed by the work that is being done on this mod!
Another VERY impressive mod that we got sent lately is basically a map editor for The Last Spell. The player 清蒸猫锅 is currently working on a hugely ambitious mod that basically "enables injecting custom XML content and provides texture interfaces, allowing you to add new maps, units, buildings, items, and skills."
Although we knew that this was technically possible, we are extremely impressed and we believe this mod will open brand-new possibilities for the modding community of The Last Spell!
This week, we received this kickass cover of "The Oath" by SanatoriumProd, and we're OBSESSED with how good it is!!
Last but not least, we want to ask YOU a question about The Last Spell! A totally hypothetical one, obviously.
IF (that's a huge if) we were to make a new "TLS" game, what would be:
