ReapCo has denied your machines' request for dungeon leave. Back to work.
Your factory has work to do while you're out risking your life for more scrap. This update keeps production, logistics, and research moving during dungeon runs, adds three local save slots, and makes settings easier to use with a controller.
Keep the factory working
- ReCrafter, ReSmelter, and ReCycler continue processing while the crew is in a dungeon.
- Generators continue burning fuel and supplying their networks. Running out of fuel can trip the network and pause powered work, just as it does in the Hub.
- Log Bots continue their assigned routes and move items between machines and containers while you're away.
- Research advances during dungeon runs. Finished research completes through the station when the Hub returns, with the usual unlocks and notifications.
- Factory and research progress survive saving and reloading, including quitting during a dungeon run. Unextracted dungeon loot still follows the existing deployment/extraction checkpoints.
- Only gameplay time advances work. Main menu, loading, and offline time do not count. Opening settings does not stop production.
Three local save slots
- Added three local world slots. Any slot can be played solo or hosted for friends.
- Each slot has a compact card with its own Start Game or Host Friends Game button, Delete Save button, saved date, and play-time display.
- Single Player opens the save cards directly.
- Single-player sessions stay private. Choose Multiplayer when you want friends to join.
- Save deletion stays in the save picker and requires confirmation.
- Empty slots include their own Skip Tutorial option.
- Play time is tracked per world during Hub and dungeon gameplay. Existing saves begin counting from this update; earlier play time cannot be reconstructed.
Logistics and save reliability
- Bots keep hold of their cargo and wait when the destination is full, then deliver once space becomes available.
- Saved bot routes restore their assigned containers correctly.
- Transport preserves item state, including magazine rounds, loaded weapons and installed mods, shield charge, fluid contents, and buildable upgrade tiers.
- Stateful cargo is preserved through blocked deliveries, saving/reloading, dungeon travel, and picking up the bot.
- Fixed boxed cargo being invisible while carried by a bot.
- Saved production retains paid jobs, progress, and undelivered output. Full output containers keep pending goods until storage is available.
- Generator saves retain partially burned fuel and tripped network states.
- Research retains its paid costs and remaining time across travel and reload. Cancelling restored research refunds the paid materials correctly.
- Recycler jobs retain their rolled yields across reloads, with host and clients seeing the same results.
- Fixed empty factory inventory slots repeatedly generating item lookup warnings.
Controller and UI improvements
- Settings can now be navigated with a controller through tabs, sliders, toggles, and the close button.
- Improved controller focus feedback and tab highlighting.
- Button East closes settings from the lobby as well as the in-game pause menu.
- Improved Generator menu size and placement above the hotbar.
- Reworked ReSmelter layouts across upgrade tiers so backpack, input, and output containers have usable space.
- Styled the ReSmelter scrollbars to match the rest of the UI.
Help us test
We're heading into full playthrough and polish passes. Please report anything that gets in the way of starting a world, playing with friends, building your factory, or returning from a run.
For factory issues, include input/output contents, the current job, bot cargo and destination contents, and whether the power network was tripped. Tell us whether you were host or client, which input device you used, and whether the issue followed travel or a save/reload.
