Patch 1.4

Prime Monster · published 3 Sep 2026, 15:30 UTC · build 25102373

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

We’re back! As our faithful political servants trudge back from their summer holidays, so too do we return to try to please and entertain our masters while preserving some shred of our remaining dignity. Onwards!

BEWARE GEEKS BEARING GIFTS

This time we bring you only a small smattering of bug fixes, and yet, AND YET…May there perhaps be a hint at more to come buried within this patch? Who could say?

Well, we could, certainly. But we won’t.

MAKING A DECENT LIST OF IT

Cast your wandering eye downwards and you’ll see the full list of changes. On the downside, it’s not as big as previous lists. On the upside, it’s considerably faster to read!

But if you crave more words, then be careful what you wish for because we’ve got ALL the words...

A WIKI SITUATION

...Or at least a lot of the words that are in the game, anyway. All lovingly presented in an actual, factual Wiki!

PRIME MONSTER WIKI

It’s essentially your own book of Urskin Flay, but covering every card, character, staff and tactic. And, unlike the real book, nobody died in its construction. Result!

IS THAT IT?

Well, I mean…It is SOME fixes, and a Wiki…(I suddenly feel like I’m on shifting sands…) And we are hinting at some future things, so that’s good…Right?

WRAP IT UP

Alright! We’ll stop with the teasing before this whole post unravels.

Thanks for reading - and if you have any thoughts or theories to share, then do as the most enlightened citizens do and shout them into the internet! Our Steam forums and Discord await your most hare-brained takes.

And if you’re looking for something else to play (perish the thought), right now The Sexy Brutale is a whopping 70% off! If we reduce the price again later by 30%, then my understanding is that the game will cost nothing. Sounds crazy to me! But I’ve been told that I’m never to touch anything price-related, for some reason.

New Content & Features

  • A new wiki is now available. Initial content, including art assets and descriptions, has been added for characters, tactics, cards, items and staff members.

UI/UX & Visuals

General

  • Updated the Character Select screen (nothing to see here, really…)

  • Added a new lighting variation for the Debate Chambers.

Bug fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the "Incoming Missile Alert" step of the "Foreign Affairs" Story case file would trigger after the first turn of the next debate.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Desperate Donation" event would be incorrectly named.

User Interface & Experience

  • Fixed an issue where the scrollbar could appear in the View Draw Pile overlay.

  • Fixed an issue where tooltips could incorrectly move in the Tactic Inventory view.

  • Fixed an issue where remaining tactic uses and charge value would not reset after the tactic was upgraded in the Lobby.

  • Fixed an issue where the character tooltip could get stuck after exploiting a card in debate.

  • Fixed an issue where leader thumbnails could appear incorrectly in the Schedule.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Low Authority" notification would not appear if Authority went below threshold while in the Office.

  • Fixed an issue where Unity and Buff pings could overlap during debate.

Chopper Badstone

  • Fixed an issue where Chopper's "Super Tribal" and "Raring to Go" tactics would not apply buffs as intended after Grimrose stuns all player MPs.

Viscount Sucksworth

  • Fixed an issue where Sucksworth's "Flight Response" tactic would not apply the Bat buff as intended after Grimrose stuns all player MPs.

  • Fixed an issue where Sucksworth's "Flight Response" tactic would not apply the Bat buff if the targeted MP was also expelled by the Shrieker.

Staff Members & Items

  • Fixed an issue where the "Bloodbag" staff member Authority gain would not be registered before a Vote of Confidence was scheduled.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Blackmail" item would not let you select rival MPs.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Mystic Peg" staff member could still give a prediction after being fired.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Mystic Peg" staff member could give a second prediction after reloading the game.

Others

  • Fixed various typos in French and German.

  • Fixed an issue where the "Think On Your Feet" achievement would not unlock as intended.
