Dollar Desktop Pet is now available on Steam!

Dollar is a lightweight Windows desktop tool that combines a desktop pet, local AI workflow protection, risk review, restore points, and usage cost estimates to help you work more safely with local AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Codex.

Key features include:

- Desktop pet companion: Keep a lightweight, non-intrusive companion on your desktop while you work.

- Local risk review: Review commands, file writes, script execution, and other sensitive actions with configurable risk levels.

- Restore points and task protection: Keep recoverable context around important operations to reduce the cost of mistakes.

- API-equivalent cost estimates: Understand approximate model usage costs and export reports as PDF or CSV.

- Project health checks: Check local configuration, exposed secret risks, hook status, and common environment issues.

- No Dollar account required: Core features run locally without requiring an extra Dollar account.

Dollar is not a replacement for Git, backups, or security software. It is closer to a small workflow guard on your desktop: when an AI tool is about to do something important, Dollar helps you take one more careful look.

Thank you to everyone who tested Dollar and shared feedback. Version 1.0 is only the beginning. We will continue improving model compatibility, approval flows, restore point visibility, report exports, and support for more AI tools.
