Tonight or tomorrow morning, we will roll out public test update 0.4.1. By the time you read this changelog, the update will already be live. This update brings a wide range of improvements and fixes, and will also be our first stable release. Here is what is changing.
System Improvements and Fixes
- Adjusted the base prices of many units and equipment options. Overall, frontline units are cheaper, while units operating in the rear are more expensive.
- Expanded the functionality of several orders, including aircraft strike orders.
- Added an aircraft quick-selection panel and improved artillery strike warnings.
- Corrected terrain around airfields and urban areas, eliminated uneven ground at airfields, and improved takeoff and landing procedures.
- Improved trajectories and ammunition performance across all air-defense systems, and made them engage targets more readily.
- Made some improvements to Skirmish AI, though its behavior can still be rigid.
- Improved helicopter transport procedures and resupply mechanics, which previously lacked flexibility.
- Significantly improved game performance.
Content and Balance
- Added the Su-30M2 multirole fighter, the Komsomolsk-built Su-30 variant used by the Russian military. In the game, it trades some air-superiority capability for a larger air-to-ground weapons payload.
- Increased infantry vision and concealment, and substantially increased their health, making them more lethal in urban combat.
- Added optional Kornet anti-tank missiles for the BTR and adjusted its 2A72 autocannon ammunition capacity to the intended level.
- Significantly reduced tank gun damage. Tanks can no longer easily destroy other tanks in a single shot, but remain highly lethal against lightly protected vehicles and infantry.
- Removed the 2B14 mortar. It will return in the future as an optional infantry equipment choice.
There are a few more changes we would like you to discover for yourselves. That is all for today. Take care, and all the best!
